Anet… what kind of sick joke is this…. Who wants to do a 20min event with a champion in 1 or 2 locations 1000 times? If thats your Idea of a elite thing to do then you need to rethink.

Add more giants or just make the Orrain Giants (you know b.c they are giants) count to the slayer achievement.

If i remember well… in cursed shore there is a lot of Veteran champions… regroup with 2+3 friends… Proffit

Only 2 in the game counts as gaint slayer, both are champions.

I’m surprised I’ve never seen someone bring this up before. Indeed it is pretty absurd. The only way to max that achievement would be to grind the town of Nageling endlessly, and it would take forever.

Anet needs to fix this. Like they do with some many other, but this would be a fast fix, just make it so other giants count, sholdnt be to hard to do at all.

There is one event that spawns non champion giants. It does scale somewhat if there are more players.

Iirc there is at least one person who got the achievement by running this event. I think he posted in these forums. But I agree, a major grind. The risen giants in Orr should count toward the title.

Problem is that they already count towards “Zhaitan’s Minions” slayer (same as “risen” anything else).

Maybe it’ll be amended by placing more non-risen giants into other (new?) zones.

There is another place that spawns giants — that actually do count as giants — that aren’t champions. I think it’s in Brisban, but I’ll check to be certain. It’s a dynamic event that spawns extra giants depending on how many people are present. But yes, they need to change to creatures in Orr to be giants, not to be undead.

This achievement is crazy.

Edit: I believe it is in Aurora’s Remains in the SW corner of Brisban Wildlands. The event kicks off about every 10-15 minutes and with more people in the area more giants will spawn.

Even if it spawns 2-3, that means you need to do this with 20+ players 400+ times, sitting around waiting for an event 400 times is no way to do a simple achievement.
