Guild Wars 2

My guild and I would love to see guild housing! It could have different vendors and unlocks through the guild influence/upgrade system as well as furniture and rooms/themes that can be found through out Tyria from vendors and drops. Maybe even WvW portals, bank, trading post, etc. Guild housing would be an awesome addition to Guild Wars 2 and I think many players will agree (Leave thoughts and suggestions in the replies!) thanks Anet and whoever has seen this!

Hope it never happens. It would do nothing for the overall well being of the game.

Part of what makes GW2 special is the large vibrant cities they have created. Many of them are crawling with players rping, crafting, trading, using the portals there. Basically the main hubs of the game that let people know the game is alive.

I would hate to see that thrown aside for personal guild halls, guild cities/section of cities, or housing. Especially with some of the features you mentioned.

Giving people the ability to waypoint, use portals, trade, and craft, and other things from a guild hall takes away from the overall world the devs created. You’re basically creating gated communities that aren’t good in a themepark game like GW2.

Guild Wars 1 guild halls had a lot of those features, and it was great. And GW2 guild halls have been promised form the beginning. so I really hope it happens. People who want to go into the cities, can still go into the cities. Guild Halls wouldn’t prevent that.

Most players that hang out in LA are just there because of the bank / TP / MF / crafting access and don’t get involved in /map chat or any sort of activity at all. Just gold down ctrl or alt for fun and sount all the names of the people you don’t even see thanks to culling.

LA is way too full of players, and I wish they would spread out more through the racial capital cities.

I’m using Rata Sum as my “home” on all my characters as the trade and bank NPCs are closer together, it’s just more convenient than LA, not to mention I get a lot better FPS and less lag there. I only go to LA for the Mystic Forge nowadays, activities NPC, and occasionally /map chat.

Most players in LA contribute nothing and just stand in everybody’s way, the place is far too crowded; I think guild halls or player housing or whatever wouldn’t make too much of a dent on this.
