Guild bounties/challenges and SMALL guilds
I’m all for increasing small guild awareness. I’m in a guild of two (just two!) currently and we’ve been coming to terms with the reality that we’ll never have most of the available upgrades or guild missions. I can live with that so long as we don’t lose the ability to play together or make progress in GW2… that’s paramount.
You could just save and pool your gold so as to buy the points. I mean, I think it takes around 60g to get to 30k points, but I don’t think you need to buy all of it if you’re all playing together anyway.
They want to make sure you play another 6 years, what better way than ringing you out to dry.
Thank you for this! I could not agree more! I have a guild of 8…5 that play regularly. We have all been together for the past 6+ years, and we work well together. We like small due to no arguments and fights that you see a lot of in the larger guilds. But we are being penalized for being small and its not right. We cant enjoy the new guild content due to having to “research” everything almost. (some of the things that need researched is ridiculous, other things … yes need to be researched, but thats a whole different department).
But 30,000 points to enjoy something that is “guild related” is wrong. Its fine and dandy for the guild that have 200+ members and no one knows are cares about anyone else… thats just pocket change to them. But those of us that have small guilds and we do know each other on a first name basis, its never going to happen for us. I dont know about the rest of the small guild people, but I do not belong to more then 1 guild, Im loyal to my guild family, and I see no reason to guild hop. So swapping guilds is not an option either.
OMG People complained about Guild Bounty’s being level 5 and how small guilds couldn’t get it, they lowered it down to Level 3 and it rewards Influence not Commendations.
When my guild first started two of us in roughly about 2 months got all but Art of War at level 3.
This is why I can assume Dev’s hate giving players things they ask for, they give smaller guilds a break and then they ask for more. It never ends, they give you an inch you try to take a mile. Sad sad day, it really isn’t that hard to get the money for rank 3 if you o choose to do it that way. If you have 5 people always on run 2 dungeons a day and you can shot your Influence up fast, if you have more even faster.
If your a family guild having each person try to pitch in 2 gold a day ( that is one dungeon all paths with Omnomberry bars for a total of 3 gold ) with 5 people that is 2 days to get 10k influence. You do that for a week and you will be at level 3 and you can start making good influence. I am sorry but this is redundant to keep asking for easier stuff when the ability to gain it is easy as is.
I’m also in a guild of 8 people, 5 that play regularly. I was really looking forward to the guild bounty training, we all were, because we’re looking for more things to do together.
I don’t even mind the amount of influence it costs because its something to work towards and a nice goal. However, tonight we tried out first bounty training and its so hard for a 5 man group, once we had finally found the person we were looking for (5 people running around a whole zone) we didn’t have time or enough man power to bring the npc down.
I don’t think anet think a ‘small guild’ is the same as what I think a small guild is… we really want to be able to unlock more content, but its very challenging for actual small guilds. :/
ehh where do you get 30k from for the guild bounty training?… level 3 cost 6500 inf ONLY

My guild just did Guild Bounty training and we had 5 minutes to kill the bounty. We not only succeeded but we did it in the time needed. Might I add we only had 4 people doing the bounty.
I don’t agree with the OP: 30k influence isn’t a lot. I can see why 150k influence is problematic, but seriously 30k is practically nothing.
