If they dont do something to lower WP system soon I personally start getting really upset. If this is their way of replacing mounts. At this point I would rather a mount pls. Between this and cost of death in WvW the money sinks are getting very upsetting.
Agreed. There are too many money sinks. Travel to main cities is a fair idea that should be implemented.
Making it free to move to to major towns would be nice, but I don’t see it as critically important as if you really want to avoid paying you can take slightly longer to get there via Heart of the Mists as someone already mentioned.
As someone else mentioned, I agree that you shouldn’t suffer a repair bill in World Vs World PvP and I hope this changes soon. A simple solution would be to turn off equipment damage when you die in WvW completely. Maybe they could replace this with another penalty, perhaps introducing a revival debuff for a couple of minutes that makes you slightly weaker would be a better solution, they could even stack up the debuff if you die repeatedly before the previous death debuff has expired so forcing players to be extra careful for a while if they’ve died multiple times in quick succession. They could even add the option of purchasing tomes to remove this debuff instantly at the cost of gold and perhaps these tomes could occasionally drop from mobs or be sometimes included in chests too. These tomes would give players the choice whether to spend gold on tomes or use their one of a limited supply when they die to avoid the temporary debuff, but the important thing is players wouldn’t be forced to do so as the debuff, although giving a slight temporary disadvantage wouldn’t be enough to be game breaking. Unfortunately with WvW equipment repairs players eventually have no choice but to eventually spend gold and it can become very expensive in WvW PvP, sometimes so much that it can put players off WvW altogether as the benefits aren’t always worth the cost, this urgently needs to change. In fact the solution I have suggested could also be implemented in dungeons as again the repair cost is too much if you keep dying and then it’s often not worth playing at all.

Well, you already can teleport to Lions Arch for free more or less…
Just open you hero window, go to the “PvP”-tab and click the “teleport to the heart of the mists”. When you get there, just walk a few steps forward and you are standing in front of a free asura portal to Lions Arch.
You have to run through the PvP tut the first time you travel there, but you can just skip it.
Ye this “cheating” way of getting to Lion’s Arch free is silly, cant we just have a decent free teleport please. Either to all capitols or just to Lion’s Arch
The waypoint outside every home instance zone in the main cities could logically be an option… or whichever is closest to the Asura gate in that town since going through LA is free.
As mentioned above it would cut down load times which should be just as convenient for them as us… less shuffling to overflow and back.

A free cost would allow for better convenience, especially when hoping between personal story assignments.
I think 1 waypoint in each map should be free. An entrance waypoint if you will. Then raise the cost of waypoints within that map.
This way, you could travel to each map freely, but for the convenience of getting where you really want to go, you’ll either have to pay, or walk it.
The free waypoint should be located in a stronghold on each map. One that has all the available npc’s/crafters.
People would still sink gold into getting to where they want. I mean no one wants to run the full length of Lornars Pass lol.
This would make it much easier to meet friends for things as well.
I see no reason why I should have to pay 4s if I’m in Orr, and my friend needs help in Frostgorge sound. Just teleport to the free Frostgorge waypoint and run it. Or if they need help, it would be like 2s to get from the free to the furthest one on the map.
When you have such a huge map, making it cost extra based on distance, isn’t reasonable, and it actually cuts DOWN on the exploration because it makes it harder to get to other places.

This comes up again and again, but ANets silly anti-bump rule got me an instant infraction, it seems they’d prefer a new thread being created day after day after day.
First off lion’s arch was always planned as a hub.
Second I feel the system, as is, is fine. So i do not support this idea
