Hi,

Guys are you interested in putting mounts on Guild wars hopefully they can put up mounts flying ones, underwater ones and land mounts this will enhance the game and I believe more will be interested in playing it. maybe legendary mounts such as dragons and elephants for Norm then dinosaurs for charr. Please Gm or the game developers please put some mounts

This topic is dead. Anet will get to it or they will not. Personally, I don’t think that mounts are necessary in any way, shape or form, but what I say will neither dissuade you from making another thread or persuade Anet to pay attention to it.

However, there are cureently more than enough things, which have higher priorities than mounts.
Mounts should get implemented anywhen in furture with like either the first or the second real Add On that introductes also new explorable Continents like Canthas or Elona..especialyl Elona to make traveling between both continents more enjoyable if you don’t want to use these stupid waypoints at all and enjoy to travel between continents in a “normal way” of traveling and that in a slightly faster way than doing it all on your own feet running…

I think, once alot of things with way higher priorities are done in GW2, mounts will have a much better chance then one day to rise up on anets priority list or in general in the list of possible game improvements which can be used also as shop items to make profit with the features…

Once they will be in search for something new for the shop that can work as long term shop item good, I strongly believe we will see mounts gettign implemented.
ANet would be just simply dumb, if they’d ignore forever this massive player demand for mounts to make profit out of this despite this game having the way point system that lets every lazy kitten instanty warp to basically everywhere in the game.

all those No-Sysers are just an absolute minority compared to the huge demand of players which want since basically GW exists mounts in the game. so a community demand, that is currently 8 years old!! Don’t underestimate this and this demand will just end only, once Anet implements them finally.

The minority of No sayers thinks here only, so more oftenly and vehemently they scream just NO, that this will really bring something. But it just shows only, that this faction has absolutely no arguments against them, other than repeating permanently their silly universal excuse that the game has waypoints while the faction that is for mounts has way more argumenents for them from which also ANet can profitate on …

If Anet decides themself against them forever, they will profitate on nothing that could ensure enough money income for the next years for them.

Mounts are just a matter of how they get introduced into a game and what they allow players to do with them in the game. Mostly all people of that No-Minority are just scaredy cats which kitten themself in out of being so scared that mounts could ruin the game, because they made bad experiences with mounts in other more or less cheap produced MMORPG with bad gameplay mechanics around them so that they lead to the point, that these games became “too easy”…

These people are somewhat biased, that they absolutely aren’t willing to be more openminded to give Anet at least the chance to prove, that they can do it alot better, than many other game developers before them put mounts into games…

Mounts are just a gameplay feature, that could be used to enhance the overall gameplay feeling of the whole game in many things and to add with them fun to do things, whole new gameplay concepts like for example a gamplay feature based around “Crusades” for example as a GW2 unique form of Raids that allows also to use Ground Mounts in them to explore the huge Raid Maps with them in large player groups to hunt down huge monsters or to battle on them in epic scaled wars against enemy armoes of dragon minions, like undeads, or thsoe from Jormag/Kralkatorrik ect. as a kind of cavalry to help your own npc forces to battle against the enemy as quick mobile units

fantasy is just unendless here and leaves so many ways open to introduce them in a unique way..however, as said, there are currently many other thigns with lots of higher priorities over mounts as currently I’d say, the game is in its current state not ready yet for mounts

Please provide the statistics that show those that do not want mounts in GW2 are the minority.

You need for that no statistics.. just open your eyes and look at the forums over the past 8 years.

There is no other topic in any forum, that has been created as oftenly, like the suggestion for monts, be it in diversive GW1 forums, or be it in GW2 forums.
You don’t see in the same way as many people constantly suggesting no mounts over the past years everywhere, like people do constantly suggest everywhere and mostly here now in the official forums the implementation of mounts.

If the No Sayers wouldn’t be a minority, we would see alot more of activity from them against mounts. But basically you see them only pop up, whenever someone created a suggestion for mounts, where they do lament then their one and only universal excuse of the game having already waypoints again and again and again, until they annoy the pro faction so long with their laments, that the threads either die out or get closed by mods because of the factions clashing so hard into each other, that it escalates …

Just because the same handful of people keep spamming new mount threads everywhere does not mean they represent the majority.

On top of that, unofficial forums don’t count.

GW2 has not been around for 8 years so I’m not sure what you mean by that. If you are referring to GW 1 , this is a different game. You can’t compare them because I am guessing there is a large group of players that never played GW1 like myself.

I see more people saying no in this thread than yes. I have not kept track in the other threads but I might have a look when I have time and take a count. Of course the search function is terrible but if I have time I will see what I can do.

You are basically discounting the fact that many people do not want mounts in the game because you want them. You can’t use terms like , “minority” and “majority” if you don’t have access to the actual statistics.

Prove that first before you say such things Laryakan.
There is no official no from Anet. If there would be anything like that, we would have seen already an ongoing rage thread somewhere here, but there is none of that.

Anet would make for something heavily demanded like this surely also an official blog post or something or an official statement thread that we could easily find here in the forums in the discussion area most likely pinned up. But there is none of that..

If you want to make something official very unmissunderstandable clear for a community, you could expect an official statement also being placed somewhere in the official forums about that …
So please stop making such false allegations, when you have no proofs!

Yes I guessed that and don’t worry your English is much better than my second language. I was trying to point out it is difficult to say things like more people want mounts than players that don’t want them. Just because there is a post here a few times a week doesn’t mean more people want them. People that post on the message boards can’t really represent the entire player base. If the majority of players read this forum regularly and posted here it would probably crash the forum. Personally I wish I had never found this forum because I find myself getting wrapped up in it and when I do I enjoy the game much less, especially reading the main forum.

Fortunately I doubt with the waypoint system there will ever be mounts. Mounts were one reason I left WoW along with the toxic community it had become. If mounts show up here I’ll probably hang it up as well. I don’t like seeing them, I don’t like the extra screen clutter, I don’t want a giant Norn on and elephant, as the OP suggested, taking up 3/4 of my screen. I just don’t want them because I don’t find them ascetically pleasing. That is where I stand on the issue and my thoughts on it are just as valid as the opinions of the players that want them.

Mounts are good in games like WoW because all the lower level zone are dead. And the player just wants to rush through it as fast a possible. To get to zones with players in them.

But in GW2 we have waypoints and downscaling. Making all zones still relevant and easy to get to.

Fast mounts would also be a exploit in GW2. Players will just rush through mobs without even a scratch.

If you want prestige mounts? Anet can create “prestige cosmetic mounts”. Nothing to over the top. Not everything should be ridable.

The only thing I would change about “cosmetic mounts” is make equal to player running speed.

Mounts are not a necessity due to way points, Asura Gates, and speed boosters.

Sorry, the truth can hurt. But hey, they still have a riding broom and sonic tunneler you can pretend are mounts.
