So i wrote a question for Anet asking for a name change. If it was possible.
I was clearly told at this moment this is not possible but i should put it up here and hopefully some would vote yes to it.
So now im here writing this and i have people as myself wishes to have the possibility to change character names in the future.

I’d pay for this as well, there’s one of mine that I really would like to change her name on but because of her crafting and such, I can’t really consider re-rolling her.

I would guess this is something that is incoming given the new appearance additions to the BLTC. At least I hope so, especially since you can do a gender change now.

I think a good portion of us have been waiting months for this feature to be implemented. The item already exists, in-game but it is yet to be obtainable and probably the finer details of its programming have yet to be fleshed out.

Search the Trading Post for “Name Change Contract” and you’ll see it.

This isn’t the first thread making this suggestion. In fact, the number of threads with this topic is very, very large. I see three or four each day. I hope ANet is aware of how many people want this feature implemented and gets on it. I’m tired of appealing to other players to get votes.

I don’t even want to change any names and I’m waiting for name change.

Agreed almost every MMO out there now has this feature GW2 needs to implement it. Not tease us with it as a non buyable item on the TP.

I’ve started naming all of my characters with a “surname” to be recognizable on my WvW guild when I swap. However, an early high-level alt doesn’t have this, and I find it very upsetting. I hate rerolling characters, as I don’t like the first 30-40 levels of gameplay (this is true, proportionally, with any MMO for me).

Pending a moderator merging all threads on name changes, I’ll just have to chime in everywhere I see it.

Name changes are long overdue! Makes no sense you can change gender but not your name.

Yes please name change! I have several toons I wish to rename and are too high level for me to justify deleting them!

Got my vote. I am wanting to change a few of my character names.

Not being happy with you’re name must be awful the game need this.

I would also like to see this happen. I would actually like to switch some names on a pair of my characters (I’ve had Steam reserved for some time now, but I want it on my Charr instead of my Engineer human).

I wouldn’t mind if it costs gems. I don’t mind spending some more money (or gold) on the game since it’s F2P.
