New class should use fists.
Thats a good idea. I would opt for a druid type class that can transform into other animals, monsters or lesser races perhaps. This way you don’t have to worry about armor you wear but the creature will dictate how you fight.
It might be called a “shifter” so you can stay in your normal form or perhaps like an ele transform into different creatures. So it would be like a soldier melee profession like an elementalist. You can also trait into the different creatures on trait lines.
Some examples would be maybe you can shift into:
skritt
quaggan
dredge
kodan
ogre
krait
minotaurs
harpys
this way players can opt to trait to be a quaggan fighter underwater a lot, or perhaps for a skritt elite where you can shift into three skritt to fight. just an idea
If there’s a new class it’d likely use heavy armour though…
Also a weapon only 1 class can use… doubt it.
not like there is not the engineer already :-)
don’t call it weapon, but class mechanic

I have no problem having a brawler class using heavy armor since they’d be close range some good defense wouldn’t hurt. As for a weapon only one class would use I can see where your coming from on that though the Hammer is pretty close only guardian, and warrior use it. So why not add the Fist weapon to an existing class like the thief, and warrior as an alternative to making a new class if that would be to much work for them. Just make it a new weapon, and now more than one class is using it. Having said that though I would still prefer a brawler class.
If a new class is implemented it will one that uses heavy armor, having said that maybe a class that only uses 2 handed weapons and have 2 handed axes released in the same patch lol
There should be no brawler class, there should be just thief gameplay improved around martial arts (acrobatics) by adding to them Stakitten and Claws/Fist Rings/Gloves.
Their Death Blossom is already currently the most martial artistic skill of the whole game. No other class has any moves that get into martial arts the like the thief does, so its 100% clear, that if any martial art skills should find their way into the game, then the thief should get improved with these mechanics, as the class originates already from the canthan assassins, which also already were all about martial arts in form of deadly arts ect.
If you seek out fo a brawler, play warrior and use its Rampage Elite, as it already basically turns the warrior into a brawler using fist fighting and kicks…

As I stated in response to another person already that if no brawler class was to be made that they should at least add fist weapons to the warrior, and thief classes(though I can tell your whole post is just you wanting your favorite class to get new stuff). On another note Rampage Elite is not the same as having an actual fist weapon. Also on the subject of Rampage which is a better example then death blossom if where going to use a classes skills as who is more set up for hand to hand combat. Lastly anything used as a fist weapon that has blades on it really defeats the purpose of adding it. Stick to brass knuckle/studded gloves(stuff like that) if your going to add.
So long as they get a Metsu Shoryuken is all good.
I’d love to see the monks comeback as shaolin styled monks. With a really cool fighting mechanic added.
Other classes could use this “fists” weapon.
Elementalists channel elements through it. Engineers electrify their fists. Thieves go for dirty-fighting styles.
If they even introduce the Dervish ever, giving it a “fists” weapon would make it akin to a Shaolin monk.

This just seems a bit redundant to me though considering that Norn can already shape-shift, and outside of game mechanics, can do it nearly at will and for however long they wish.
