This idea may or may not of been talked about so far from what I have read through the few pages of suggestions it has not, so here goes.

Everyone likes change in games and choices that is what make a game grow and get better. The main problem with putting skills to weapons it stagnates changes which could be bad for the game.

The idea is to start a system to add alternative weapon skill choices not by changing weapons but by earning the new skills either through special events, recipes, etc. These new skills should work with the other weapon basic skills that come with the weapon itself. They could be changed out fully to a new set or one by one just like the utility skills. It should not change the types of weapons that a profession can use only give other options for the same weapons. Also people have complained that they cannot switch where their skills are on the keyboard its always 12345 it makes it harder to use those skills because most ppl do not use their pinky as their main finger.

Well anyway that is my suggestion give more weapon skill option later in the game. Any thoughts are welcome, but remember this game needs a shot in the rear.

I think weaponskill slots should have different options. The autoattack should have 3 different skills to choose from, as well as skill slot 2 to 5. That gives so much more customizability.

That would also be a balancing nightmare. 243 different ability combinations for each weapon set.

Not really. In Gw1 with dual professions and 8 skills to pick, there were millions of combinations. For example, the core professions had something like 140 skills each. If I had a necromancer/mesmer combination, that means 140+140 skills is 280 skills in total. That means there were 8.5e+14 combinations of skills. Throw in 8 other professions and there you have your balancing nightmare.

(That is if my maths are correct Answer is a bit less because I only did 280^8 instead of 280×279 etc. and didn’t take elite skills into account )
