Q:
Opening up Combat make it more complex?
A:
Combat doesn’t need complexity; it needs depth:
- Complexity – How hard something is to learn
- Depth – How many viable choices can be made with the tools available
That aside:
- I agree on gaining weapon skills as a form of progression after 80
- I disagree on having all utilities available to all classes. It would create a balance nightmare. Imagine a Warrior with Shadowstep, for example.
- The whole helping your team-mate thing is already in game. It’s just the encounter mechanics don’t require it that often (short of someone going down)

i wasn’t meaning to say having all utilities being available to all classes i meant have a larger role in their class that they are used in because they are very useful but some of them wear off to fast to even have an effect in a party.
