Perfect Answer to the Mounts Issue

Lol I wouldn’t want to move at Mach 10 but slightly increased speed bit more than your usual swiftness buff. Wait or even just move permanently at the buff speed so u wouldn’t have to constantly rebuff. That would already satisfy some of those seeking convenience. Looks aren’t that important to me. I would like realistic mounts if we had them. Just a normal horse is fine. It is more realistic to be on a horse bc running from lush forests to shiverpeaks doesnt make alot of sense anyway.
No mounts in cities, and cannot fight on a mount
Why not what I mentioned? Doesn’t break the game I believe
But without mounts like the way it is right now I don’t really mind. It’s just an extra for me
Would mount get level 80s out of Orr?
i still wana see an asura riding a spider :P

you’ll still get hit from all the long ranged, condition laying stuff. perhaps you cant use your heal skills and so forth while your on a mount, like a tonic :P more preventing game breaking mount systems
however, i think they must be different from current ranger pets bc it would make pets not unique…. like a spider mount xD sorry haha but it’d be best if they were normal animals that a ranger won’t be using. though i would love to ride on a wolf personally xD But that’s bc i have a ranger lol if i see someone else on a wolf i wouldn’t think its so fair

also remove the ability for mounts to jump just because that almost always looks extremely (EXTREMELY) tacky and strange.

I’ve been saying that all along. So long as mounts don’t become too goofy, move the same speed at players, and have proper procedures to avoid people blocking important NPC interaction such as merchants, it’s a no-brainer to include them. They’ll act as a gold sink helping the economy, something else to collect, and burns time for those at max level.
Lol at jumping mounts, I’ve seen that before yeah xD
So with some numbers, if the mounts can give a constant 20% – 30% speed increase that would be reasonable wouldn’t it?
The easiest solution would be to remove the teleport fee to the waypoints, sometimes the cost is pretty crazy 2s+ even to teleport to someplace even in the same zone.
Get it taken down -
Do whatever it takes if you care about this game -
ah.. mounts.. time to login to my LOTRO to have a ride once in a while…

My answer to this issue would be:
No mounts, but instead transform tonics that include a minor speed buff.
Not game breaking speed, but something that makes it not so tedious to get from point A to point B without spending everything you made in the last 15 minutes from farming.
Tonics:
- minor speed buff
- no jump (just like current tonics, and would prevent using the buff for jump puzzles)
- NPC’s sell 24hr versions of tonics (variable by location, so Orr would be something like a thrall (they are fast))
- Permanent versions of the tonics would be available from black lion chests as a rare reward, like the permanent banker.
*Just like other transforms it has no skills (except maybe aesthetic ones like the eagle raptor)
- Permanent tonics could have a place in collectibles to suit the collectors out there.
- Temporary tonics would be an decent gold sink for the those not lucky/rich enough to get a permanent one. (so not eliminating the WP goldsink just moving it)
- Temporary tonics could be introduced in various Holiday events as a way of celebration. IE: Everyone participating in the Yule event gets a 7 day reindeer tonic. And any chance boxes sold during that time (Yule BLC’s) have a chance to drop a permanent one for the exotic collections.
- Players who plan their time well, could use temporary mounts to save money from waypoints, but the majority of players would probably end up sinking more into temp mounts then waypoints due to lack of time planning. Example: buy a 24 hour one daily instead of only on days they are exploring the map.

They should just make a consumable that has a 25% increase in speed (non-stacking) for like 30 mins each…
