I’m currently stuck at 99% world completion and all I need is that 1 vista inside another server’s keep in EB. Problem is that server hasn’t budged from its no.1 spot since matchup and attempts to take said keep have failed repeatedly. Everyday I zone into WvW hoping that we would finally achieve it but sadly no go.

Primarily a PVE player and please understand that I’m not asking for concessions here. I’ve done my dues by joining raids/forays/zergs but as I’m not a commander I don’t dictate tactics and goals, only do my part as a foot soldier and hope. My server isn’t bad at all but due to the other server being heavily stacked in coverage, I don’t know when we’d ever get round to successfully taking that keep.

Some of you might argue that WvW players also have to grind out PVE map completion so why should it be different here. But it’s not as straightforward a comparison as you might think. In PVE, it’s mostly a matter of eventually knocking it out one by one at your own pace and ability. In WvW things are very fluid, often beyond a single player’s control and your efforts can literally hit a stone wall and be stuck there. In PVE maps, you don’t have to fight through zergs, siege, walls and a multitude of veteran npcs just to reach that poi/vista. Don’t tell me a bunch of Risen (or even an out-maneuverable Champion) is tougher than an opposing gang of decked out lvl 80 guildies with TS coordination etc.

To end off, I hope Anet will at least seriously consider result-independent color rotation for WvW so that there is an avenue of hope. It’s not like we didn’t try. Unless they secretly want ppl like me to spend gems and server hop.

I’m the same sort of stuck, but there is a little more movement in our tier so I just might be lucky next round.

Color rotation would mean the same chance for everybody, no matter their server.

The maps are balanced (esp. EB) to give the 1st place team the hardest area to defend...3rd the easiest...

If you rotated...a third place server getting lowlands in EB would be kicked from the tier that week.

This would be good, we would have more movement in the rankings. Besides, once that same server got the red team, based on your assumption that it’s that much harder to defend the green area, they would move back up. At least with this proposal, there is not only the color changes, but hopefully, a little more movement in the leaderboards, and the “best” teams would really have to fight to defend their rankings.

I don’t think that server transfers are free for any tier currently. They removed free server transfers awhile back, and offered free transfers TO lower servers for a week to try to promote some population to the lower servers (which I think amounted to 3 servers for NA).
