Race Change Kit:

- Req Lv to Use: 80
- Will reset your story to lv 1 and teleport you to the starter instance
- Your character remain lv 80 but you have to redo the entire story
- Your order will also reset so you can choose a new order

Well, something like that. Lv 80 cause it will stop players to use it for powerlevel.

Auto wear town cloth:

-Should be a checkbox, if you enter into a city, your character will auto switch its gear to the towncloth.

What you guys think? Good or bad idea?

What would happen to cultural armor pieces that are soulbound to your character but you can no longer wear?

What would happen to order armor pieces when you’re no longer member of your order?

Would this be fair towards players who have had to level up several characters in order to get all personal story achievements?

Etc.

All your equipment that are currently on your character will moved to your inventory.
Players who leveled every race for achievement, hm… no one cares, it was never been a mandatory to level every race for achievements.

Yes, it was mandatory. If you wanted the achievement (a large part of why I’m sure you want to reroll without having to level, maybe not for the achievement but for the story connected to it) you HAD to roll that race.

Again, swapping species won’t work because of the bound cultural/order armor.

I’d rather see them give real XP boosts to those who have 80s so they can level faster than let you bounce around your 80 to each race.

+1 for the auto-town clothing.

I also want to wear my clothing in “activities”

bound cultural/order armor can be solved by treating them as any soulbound item from a deleted character. “soulbound to another character” aka: feel free to destroy it becasue it’s only gonna take up room.

Or maybe -gasp- I decided that I like asura better than sylvari. Which, btw, is exactly why I have a lvl 73 asura ele standing right next to my lvl 80 sylvari ele. Couldn’t care less about story or achievements. I’m in it for the cuteness.

Sure it does. 2 options:
- You mail support and they replace the armour.
- You suck it up as part of the cost for not having to level a new char.
Either will work just fine regradless of your reasons for changing. Unless you just wanted to see what human cultural armour looks like on a charr. Which ain’t gonna happen. It can easily be in the description.

That’d be more expensive though….

I don’t really understand the Issue with the Cultural Armor, I get that those sets can only be wore by specific race. So transmute it to something else, gem store armor, another Cultural armor or whatever. its really not that big of a deal, ya I get it, the whole T3 set cost you 120g and that’s a lot, I get it, really, but if you hate your current race so much, you’re prolly willing to deal with that lost.

As for the Order Armor, Ive seen people wear a mix of all 3, entering one does not prevent you from wearing other.

It would be nice to swap races. You aren’t even able to see what the cultural armors LOOK like on a different race so your equip would become as valuable as the sum of what parts they can be broken down into.

I think they’ll have a system for it eventually. Many of the same criticisms for this were made in WoW…. until years past and they finally allowed my nightelf hunter on one server to become a bloodelf hunter on another server. I think most folks think swapping professions is where the line is drawn.

Especially in this game, you may as well just make an alt. 20 booster and a week or so and you’re back to 80 anyhow.

Oh and town clothes I’m down for at least the option to automatically swap into something. I don’t do that much sitting around in towns where I’d want something social to actively swap into.

Its kinda like pets and polymorphs. They need a pet summon or polymorph button that you can drag/drop a pet into, so that its either easy to pop out or stays out until you put it back in. I get tired of opening my inventory to use my endless cat potion and just forget about it until I’m just standing around…
