Remove the need to complete WvW PoIs ad vistas for 100% world Complete

I’m aiming for my 100% on world complete and upon hearing that weekly matches start tomorrow, I was going to get all the WvW points, seeing as my server is doing well.
However, all the other players from gate of madness, are in one HUGE zerg and I get zerged in 2 seconds.
Given that the Mists, being the place where WvW is, is not the same place (but encompasses) Tyria, from a lore point it should be separate.
From a mechanics point, it should be different. WvW is PvP. Tyria is PvE. Why do I have to do PvP to get a PvE achievement?
It’s unnecessary.
My suggestion?
Remove WvW from the completion total. Hell, even give a smaller reward for completing WvW AND The heart of the mists.
I can only imagine how the other servers who are against IoJ currently feel, when we hold most of the map.
tl;dr Remove WvW from World Completion.

Maybe WvW Achievements should be separate from PvE Achievements. This would also help with the issue in this thread

I totally agree with this. 100% map completion is mainly all through PvE. Why are the four WvW maps included with this? In really seems to be primarily a PvE achievement & I doubt many of the strict PvPers will bother with it.
By forcing PvErs to clear those maps, it just clogs up the WvW queues with people who don’t really want to be there but want to get this achievement or their monthly achievement. Removing the WvW requirements from these achievements will help keep WvW to those who actually want to do it.
ArenaNet promised that this game would have something for everyone, but by adding this PvP element to a primarily PvE achievement as well as to the monthlies, it’s requiring many who don’t want to do WvW to do it mainly to get these achievements done.
Frankly, I’m more concerned about the map completion requirement as I don’t know if I care enough about the monthly achievements to do WvW each & every month.

To be fair, the achievement does say 100% map completion so it is perhaps not unreasonable to expect it to include 100% of the maps – it is not a regular achievement and you do have to only do it once (although once with each character).
However, it would be possible to reduce this load on the queues by allowing PvE people to enter and explore the battlegrounds whilst the matches are resetting. It could say match is over, everyone back to LA and then allow people to enter the map such that everyone is friendly and cannot attack each other for a few minutes so they can run about ticking points off before being told everyone back to LA, hostilities resume in two minutes…
There are a lot of PvE people joining the queues to gain these achievements and then either rejoining the queue because it pops during their event or almost achieved vista or giving up because it is now quite late and they can always play QvQ tomorrow.

It’s what I did and I have all the WvW zones.

This would be great & I could really get behind this idea. Right now, the WvW is a zerg fest & the other server owns the whole map so it’s practically impossible for a PvEr like me to get in there & get this done.

It’s what I did and I have all the WvW zones.
Assuming that, for Europe, you are playing between 1am and 4am when the match begins AND you are one of the lucky ones who can beat the queue.

Or you can do it during the middle of the game, or at the end. I’ve done it at all three times and each time we have captured something different that I can run off to and grab.

These world map completions, aren’t meant to be done in a day. It is a goal to work towards over time.
I am working on these. I open the map, see where they are, go for the closest. As I have to branch out to get to others, I discovered that it can become quiet interesting. Me and a couple of people while going after a vista, stumbled onto the enemy team doing the same.
we ended up having little battles along the way, and it was really exciting.
I don’t feel they should remove it. It does add a challenge, it does give players something to work for because it isn’t as easy as just killing some mobs and done.
I don’t que up for WvW everyday, but when I do, I know I have a goal I want to try and complete in my world map quest, some days I get close, others I succeed and others I don’t even come close.

I second that idea! I’m getting sick of random “PvE noodles” joining WvW and holding spots for 1000x more valuable players that wait in queue because those lowbies want to get vista, do puzzle at peak hours or want to farm some items from PvE boss (really? who was so braindead at ANet to put meaningless PvE content onto Borderlands maps? Skrits? Centaurs? Big Boss Worm? EB is ok, because PvE camps actualy contribute actively into WvW)
