Second Weaponset for everyone
I can agree to this. A good convenience feature.
IF it is only out of combat I can agree. In fact I would love a multi weapon set feature for all classes. So many times I have to search to figure out which weapon in my inventory is the correct one amongst the crappy drop weapons.
Next best idea is a bag type to hold weapons that displace all other weapons in the Hero window.
I agree with this and would like to see it implemented in this way. These classes should represent fairly intelligent characters who could plan ahead to decide how best to face a situation and should have a reasonable way to manage their strategies out of combat. It seems like something that could only result in considerable annoyance over time and I don’t think it’s fair for the players of these classes to have to deal with that when this adjustment does not give them any in-combat advantage. Just seems like a nice thing to let the Elementalists and Engineers see that you care that they are having fun.

Buy an ‘invisible’ bag and put all your extra weapons inside of it.
Invisible Bag still won’t fix the “problem” mentioned above: when the inventory is full, we have to go through all the crap to find the wanted swap-weapon. Why not let us put it into a second set like everyone else can?
Or how do I swap to Staff from DaggerDagger when the inventory is full with ease?
I have to clear out at least one inventoryslot before i could swap.
There is no gameplay benefit from adding a second “out of combat”-set. Only convenience for the player. So why not, Anet?

There is a search option for your inventory.
The devs don’t care about WvW so I’m gonna kill players in PvE!
I keep my inventory clean and instantly move the off-hand weapon to a “sorted” place once I swap. But it really is inconvenient. Due to this problem I usually only swap two-handed weapons with two handed weapons and dual weapons with dual weapons.
I also long for the possibility of dual wielding with both of the classes, but it comes with great problems as well. My engineer often uses kits, so “swapping weapons” is a normal thing. If I accidently swap it too often and get attacked, I have the wrong weapon active and may never be able to swap back (you know the huge areas which might never let you go ooC). But well, this is a minor issue and only penalizes misclicks.
The bigger issue would be the technical implementation. Unequipping kits or summoned weapons also use the feature of “weapon swapping”. So the coder would have to differenciate the two kinds of swapping and disable only one.

Just try it yourself. Equip a two one-handed weapons and then one two-handed one. Good luck with an ‘invisible’ bag.
This subject comes up relatively often. As always, I agree with it … as an OOC function.
Other 80s: Any but Warrior
I’ll +1 this for my engi. Swapping between rifle and pistols is more effort than it needs to be, since one occupies one hand and the other occupies two.
If it remains an “out of combat” feature, it won’t break anything.

Ele and Eng are the classes with more skills options, no way to give another weapon set, even out of combat. In this case, in zerg or runing to capture point, they can active some hability to grant some extra and definitive advantege before combat starts.
Looks absurdly OP.

They can do that either way – this just saves them a few clicks of inventory reorganisation…?

So you want elementalist to have 40 different weapon skills in combat? I could agree only if you give 3rd weapon for the other classes.

Yes.
then there are some obcure intent behind this sugestion
I just wish they’d add for all I care infinite weaponsets like in GW1 (or was the max set at 4 there? xD, don’t recall, never used more than 4…)
Whether you can switch to them in combat or not, dunno.
Sometimes I really wonder why some really simple but awesome stuff from GW1 isn’t present in GW2…

No. Not in combat. Only out of combat.

I think strange more than 2 weapon set.
Look actual soldier, that uses Rifle + Pistol/Knife (explosives and kits are utilities). And Spartan that uses Spear/Sheld + Sword/Sheld. And Samurai that uses Sword/Sword + LB or Spear/GreatAxe/Longsword/Rifle(in last days). Apache with Rifle or Shortbow + Axe/Torch/knife/mace…
The usual are 2 sets, but i haven’t nothing against 3 or more sets
For PvE or WvW it’s fine. For PvP this is a no go!
