Class Mechanic: Chants F1-F4
Chants would be similar to Attunements(only 1 active at a time), and has a nearby ally/foe range. The chants grant extra stats to allies(similar to Empowered Allies/Spotter/Strength in Numbers traits), or minus stats to foes, or special type of buffs(like Illusionary Defender). The Chant is a continuous effect as long as allies/foes are in range of the Paragon’s chant.
Trait: If you swap chant, all allies/foes in range gain a boon/condition(depending on the chant) and the skill goes on cooldown.
Weapons: Javelin/Lance(1-handed) + Shield.
Utility: Shout, Signet, Stance, Songs, Echos.
Songs provide a powerful effect every 5 seconds to allies/enemies in range and move with the Paragon all the time. When using a Song utility, your Chant is disabled while the Song is active. Pressing the skill again simply ends the Song and it goes on cooldown(and your Chant goes back up).
Echos target a foe. After 5 seconds, that foe gains a condition(depending on the Echo). When that effect activates, all of the foes in range of that foe also gain that condition.

I don’t feel like many things should be added until we can work out what direction the game is headed. It’s such an amalgam of hypocritical design decisions, adding a bunch of new stuff without fixing the old would just exacerbate the situation IMO. But…if we are talking in hypotheticals, (no particular order of importance)
1. New armor and weapon skins
2. Return of the trinity so class choice actually means something in game
3. Wardrobe feature, remove Tstones
4. New and exciting world events/DE’s/Hearts etc. And new WvW maps (especially WvW maps)
5. Dual Spec (Or even 3 or 4 saved trait sheets)
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.

I would like to see more titles available to characters. Specifically more unique ones.
Examples:
- After killing 1000 Ascalonian ghosts you would achieve a title like “Ghostbuster”
- After dying from falling damage 100 times you would recieve one like “The Clumsy”
It would open up many more customization options for characters and allow us more flexible in outlining how we roleplay our characters.

Elite Skills that….well feel elite. Not like utilities on insane cool downs. Add to that more active skills/traits in general not gain effect x for y seconds when condition z is met.

Improved ’’housing’’
As in the home instance, and offcourse guildhalls with all kinds of stuff you craft to put in it or find through the world or as rare drop from a worldboss/dungeon boss.

More cutscenes in ’’gw2’’ style. They are among the best/most original styles of cutscene i have seen in games. They should (ab)use it alot , alot more.

This would destroy the pull-in-a corner-and-dps-them meta (zerkermeta)) —> make new dungeons with a better ai, maybe something like uw in gw1

(at the moment i think pvp is fun to play but horrible to watch, if you see a shoutcasted game you cant see anything beside tatics and maybe buildchoices. Try it out (Devs!). look at a teamfight on youtube and pause the game every 2 seconds, than count how many names you see and how many of them you actually see (bodys))

The problem with these: list X things, is that it’s very hard to discussion any particular one of these things, some good ideas are thus lost under a mountain of less good ideas. all these suggestions can be summed up as “More PERMANENT CONTENT”
I think most players are like myself and tired of doing an event for 2 weeks then It disappears to be replaced with a new 2 week event.. The nightmare tower was a step in the right direction with it being destroyed and then littering the map.
Included in the Permanent Content idea is more customization. most lvl 80s look about the same, same bodyshape and some dungeon armor. more armors and body customizing would go along way in making players feel like their toon is unique.

also making the armor upgradeable would help. getting your t3 cultural to have red flames or blue lighting effects would be epic.

I want to specialize my Thief finally into an Infiltrator or a Rogue to see some kind of seeable real Character Progression in this game, that feels like being raised up in your personal character’s career. A feeling, we’ll receive only with implemented Sub Classes. Character Progression with only more Skills/Traits alone won’t work.
2) Racial based Mounts with Mounted Combat, which can’t be used in towns and in generally can’t be used in the Heart of the Mists and aren’t in WvW permanent.
Mounts in WvW have to be RENTED and can be used only with GUILDS, because Mounts would require Art of War Rank 10 and once your Guild has this rank to use rented Mounts, they can use Mounts for 24hours after spending a certain amount of Influence and Guild Merits and Mounts would work basically in WvW like Golems.. they have also a own high amount of health, but once once their health reachs 0, they are dead and the player that used the Mount, won’t have it anymore, unless the guild rents a new one.
3) Housing
The personal player instance needs to become finally really a place, that also visually shows player progression with an upgraqdeable own House that the player can decorate as he/she likes with items like Marjorys Diary, the Model of that other living story patch, the skill point node and various material nodes ect.
It can be used to omplement new craftign jobs that are based on Housing
4) More new Weapon Types like Polearms (Halberds), Whips/Chain Sickles, Claws, Great Axes, Quarterstaffs, Crossbows/Recurvebows, Flails, Throwing Stars and more of the existing weapons for the classes, like Offhand Swords for the Thief as example.
But an absolute no towards all weapons for all classes
5) New Playable Races like the Tengus, but absolutely no to everything that doesn’t fit:
Centaurs, Quaggans, Grawls, Skritt, Kodan, Ogres, Dwarfs, Largos… a complete no too all of this crap, if Anet should ever add more playable classes besides Tengus, they should be something completely new, something that we have never seen before and basically lives on an other continent, like Cantha, Elona, or Utopia best to say, something, that simply works as a great addition of being new allies against the elder dragons, that have their own big main town, are customizable, have a good and feasible lore that isn’t boring and just totally flat, like that of the Largos or the Kodan.

My Top 5 and from those 5 things the most I want currently is Sub Classes, they would add from all 5 things the most to this game.
1. Skin Locker for PvE/WvW
2. Trait Sheets, or a way to save builds and swap ’em around effortlessly.
3. More Weapons per class…. after a year of using 1 or 2 builds and same weapon rotations, it kinda gets stale.
4.New Permanent areas
5. Continuation of the Dragons Storyline….

2. The ritualist brought back.
3. Tengu as a playable race.

You know, there used to be a thread that was all about listing player’s most wanted additions and changes. It used to be stickied, but has since been unstickied. If I find it, I’ll link it here.
my top 5 list (in no particular order):
1) Guild vs Guild. the best form of pvp in my opinion. also would help getting GW2 into the E-sport scene
2) re-vamp of the personal story line. at present it is just a way to help characters get through the zones and learn a little bit of the story/lore. I would like to see more story with more choices that actually have long term consequences/ trade offs. think unique skills or abilities or allies.
3) re-vamp of the living story content. at present it is really just a way to give players a couple days of achievements to chase without contributing anything to the actual story of the game. Id rather see the content oriented to the story of GW2 and not some random enemy, and I would rather it be more of a quest or adventure than simply; go kill these champions 10 times, make sure to hop their attacks, and open this chest…. blah.
4) add more skills/ skill capping like GW1. why? because it will add massive variability to the way the game in played in all aspects.
5) introduce WvW mechanics into PvE content. maybe the next time the centaurs in gendarran take a town, they actually destroy it, and part of re-capping the town is running supply to rebuild it/ setting up siege to take it back. or maybe in orr when the undead capture the Jofast camp, they set up barricades/ siege, and players have to lay siege to take it back.
The words “mounts”, “duels”, “race change” and “raids” added to the forum language filter and replaced with “Enough already, no!”.

2- A completely new PvP game mode: something between SPvP and WvW, sandbox-like, in a customizable setting allowing you to build fortifications through materials and make your guild a Fortress/Tower/Castle completely free-style.
3- Multiple skill variants per weapon.

5- Race-change ability.
1. elite skill revamp – the way it is right now, i’d take any support (7,8,9) ability over Elite for pretty much any class.

3. a better sPvP carrot – i think just skins is not enough to keep you in sPvP
4. actually worthy gear drops from Epic encounters – i believe each dragon has to drop exotic or ascended on 100% chance, and rolled for like in WoW or if this doesn’t appeals than dragon can drop 1-2 tickets, and when you collect let’s say 20 from same dragon you can exchange them for exotic or ascended gear directly without having to level professions and craft. I mean the epic encounters should be so epic that reward would be great.
5. Better World PvP structure – current zerg and capture is not really appealing specially with no rewards.
6. better reward structure – i believe any thing we do in game has to give rewards. After all it’s a game and it’s really empty of any sense if there are no rewards at the end.

To be honest the above is pretty much classic to a list of features within a expansion. Its a shame because I was hopeful the LS would bring this kind of stuff in but from what iv seen, presentation of the story is suffering from the rushed release schedule never mind the rest. I hate to say it, but its starting to look like the dream wasnt realistic enough.

My top five six in no particular order:
1. Ability to mystic forge/upgrade 250 Transmute Stones to 8-20 Transmute Crystals
The input of 250 and out put of 8-20 shouldn’t really effect gem store purchases of the crystals, plus those numbers can always be tweaked.
2. Addition of the Clock Tower and Wintersday jp achievements to the jp category
Doesn’t even need to reward achv pts, just there to document if you did it before since they will be reoccurring.
3. Anet going back through all the armors giving them more dye slots
Since not every armor has 4 dye options and it could really add to customization.
4. New inventory option for Minis for on or off
Similar to the check boxes for show/hide bags & rarity except this option would make it so your mini would always be there. You die it lays down dead, you wp or travel it is still there, you swim it’s gets put into an air bubble. If you have multiple minis in your bag then it chooses the first one.
5. More titles for existing achievements/more unique titles
Search for title threads there have been a few good ones. Such as, more unique titles for pvp no champion xxx, biography based titles for what you choose in creation, titles for slayer achievements, also title for each dungeon completion, 100% jps. It’s fairly cheap content since the system is already in place.
6. One update patch focusing on Guild improvements
Adding a 6th to my list because well I can. Improvements include last log in, event calendar, and ability to set access for Deep Cave separate from Treasure Trove.
