Vitality and Toughness gear 60+
. . .
You do realize that the armour that only increases two stats is actually increasing less then the armour that increases 3 stats right? Low level armour is one max, medium level armour is two max, high level is 3 max. . . You won’t find though and vitality only since it doesn’t exist because end game armour is always better and increases 3 stats.
Also, power/vit/thoughness is in. It’s soldier’s armour, AC tokens can get it (amongst others) – http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Soldier%27s#Triple_attribute. If you want supportier, go for clerics – power, thoughness, healing power.
power/vit/tough is also available by getting temple karma armor (except the legs, you’ll need something else for power/tough/vit)
The combination power/toughness/vitality seems to be the only combination that has both vitality and toughness at endgame (70-80) gear. So far, the only places where one can find such armor that I know of are:
- AC explorable armor
- SE explorable armor
- Orr Temple karma vendors (not every piece is at every temple, keep that in mind)
- WvWvW vendors
There’s also a few other lacking ones. Like precision/condition damage/toughness and precision/healing power/toughness. It has the vitality version, but not the thoughness version.
One of the reasons I would really like moldable stats for armour – ex : Drop a superior stat (superior insignia component of precision damage), major stat (major stat of toughness) and anther major or something (ex: two minors for equivalent to major toughness, or a minor tough and minor crit to get Valkyrie’s PvP).

There’s still no gear which has VIT or Toughness as a main stat beyond low levels. It’s always secondary, meaning you get less of a boost than you do for other stats, usually in favor of power. What I’d like to see is gear with a central focus on defense rather than focusing on attack as the majority seem to do.

I think that’s an ANet attempt at balance. Since it’s generally considered better to have toughness then vitality, it’s why healing power + vitality/precision exists while healing power + power/toughness exists and why soldier’s is power first with lesser toughness and vitality.
I personally think that’s an inane way of going about it, but it’s the only way I can think of it.
EDIT: Hey, star star is bold. Awesome.
