WvW map completion VS PVE map completion
I don’t know you, and I doubt we’ve ever even met in game, but you’re my new best friend.
I’ve been trying for a while to get WvW map completion. I have 91% map completion and have managed to get a few WvW vistas and skill points, but since most of the POIs are in a fort with an actual gate, I get swarmed by veteran NPCs before I can even get in. I know I don’t have the best build, but it’s one that works for me and has allowed me to solo the entire pve map, and I don’t really want to rework stats and waste gold just to be able to get a few more POIs. I’m fine with how much work and time has to go into getting a legendary, even if you’re just going to buy one someone else made, but I don’t like being forced to play pvp areas when I don’t want to.
Maybe someday they’ll have two percentage bars, labeled PvE map and WvW map completion. World could still be above those and have a fancy reward all it’s own, but it’d be nice to get something, maybe not towards a legendary, I guess, just for getting the whole PvE map.
Here we go again …
There’s a few ways to get WvW completion:
1/ take your time. Eventually your world has all three colors. Explore to your hearts content depending on the part of the map your world controls. May take a few weeks.
2/ Gather a team. Storming a keep can be done in a very short time, explore and get out. With my old guild we used to do this pretty often. Just say on TS which points you need.
3/ Organize the zerg. Maybe even get commander so you can pull most guildless people to yourself and have them cannon fodder the keeps you want to conquer.
No one said it was going to be easy, getting the star next to your name. On the other hand, it isn’t really difficult either. I’m not big into PVP and still got it with minimal effort.

There are two things that you guessed correctly:
1) This has been suggested before
2) The search doesn’t quite work. If you really want to search something on the forums, I made a short guide for that: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/players/Forum-tricks-Searching-Advanced-method/ enjoy
And then on the Completionist title… It’s just that, completionist. It’s a shame that fractals, dungeons and sPvP maps aren’t part of it, but still: It’s a title meant for those who dabble enough in all parts of the game (-party only areas). It is not a PvE title, nor should it be.
People who can’t tend to call the opponent troll, scream something utterly incomprehensible
and finally result to personal insults.
World vs World map complition is way much easyer then the rest.
The only bit that may be a struggle should be Stonemist Castle. I dont generally like pvp but enjoyed wvw and found it to be great introduction and actually got me playing the game with others, I have even started doing a bit of sPvP to work on my 1v1 skills and like it more than i thought I would.
Just keep an eye on the maps and get the points when you can, most importantly enjoy yourself (joining the zerg is fun if you dont like pvp).

Stonemist isn’t very difficult, if and only if you keep your eyes open. Press B every once in a while, check whether stonemist changed hands and ninja-expore it.

Color rotation would go a long way toward solving the problems posed in this thread.
