I’m sorry if this is already around somewhere (I couldn’t locate anything quite like it with searches), but please bear with me on this suggestion.

I’m a die-hard pve person and pvp has never been my strong suit (yep, I get it… please don’t rip into me for this). But I have always been a completionist, so when I see the Been There. Done That. Title track… my thought is… “Oh! Zaitan’s corruption across Tyria” Explore and enjoy the story areas. However, I finish exploring and I still have around 5% of the map to complete. I look into it only to find that I need to COMPLETE the WvW maps as well. Now… for someone who doesn’t do pvp unless a friend asks me to help them with something, I find this horribly grindy and against my play code because now it turns one of my favourite things into a grueling task that causes me endless frustration. I’m sure many pve-ers would agree.

My suggestion is: Perhaps making 2 separate map completion title/tracks. 1 for the PVE maps and one for the WvW or PVP or both combined.

This way, pvp-ers don’t have to putz around in the pve maps unless they want to and us pve-ers can continue to enjoy the game as we always have without having to find a source of frustration in something we don’t wish to do. This would work for both sides! Both get their own achieves and can feel like they accomplished something and neither has to do the others’ achieve unless they like completing everything. Honestly, if it was this way, I may even considering doing the WvW/PvP achieves when I’m bored/finished with the pve explore without feeling like I have to do it! Sometimes, pve-ers would do this just to do something different. Also, completing a WvW map is quite challenging for some and might be a huge accomplishment to do it considering you’re competing against others to complete this map. That makes it special in itself! So it’s definitely worth having it’s own title track!

And as for those complaining that you need Badges to make legendaries. Well… that’s different. If you want to include those as part of that, I don’t see why that needs to change, but perhaps make a legendary that is solely based on pve requirements. This way, the rest of us can do it too at some point. I don’t see how adding or adjusting the rewards slightly to account for 2 separate exploration tracks would impact those things. I only see them as enhancing an aspect of the game to appeal to more peeps.

I hope this suggestion (there may be 2 in there lol) helps and others find it appealing as well. Thank you for taking the time to read this and consider it!

I don’t know you, and I doubt we’ve ever even met in game, but you’re my new best friend.

I’ve been trying for a while to get WvW map completion. I have 91% map completion and have managed to get a few WvW vistas and skill points, but since most of the POIs are in a fort with an actual gate, I get swarmed by veteran NPCs before I can even get in. I know I don’t have the best build, but it’s one that works for me and has allowed me to solo the entire pve map, and I don’t really want to rework stats and waste gold just to be able to get a few more POIs. I’m fine with how much work and time has to go into getting a legendary, even if you’re just going to buy one someone else made, but I don’t like being forced to play pvp areas when I don’t want to.
Maybe someday they’ll have two percentage bars, labeled PvE map and WvW map completion. World could still be above those and have a fancy reward all it’s own, but it’d be nice to get something, maybe not towards a legendary, I guess, just for getting the whole PvE map.

Here we go again …

There’s a few ways to get WvW completion:

1/ take your time. Eventually your world has all three colors. Explore to your hearts content depending on the part of the map your world controls. May take a few weeks.

2/ Gather a team. Storming a keep can be done in a very short time, explore and get out. With my old guild we used to do this pretty often. Just say on TS which points you need.

3/ Organize the zerg. Maybe even get commander so you can pull most guildless people to yourself and have them cannon fodder the keeps you want to conquer.

No one said it was going to be easy, getting the star next to your name. On the other hand, it isn’t really difficult either. I’m not big into PVP and still got it with minimal effort.

If I can’t play Guild Wars 2 at work, I won’t work in Guild Wars 2 either.

@Kyllaa
There are two things that you guessed correctly:
1) This has been suggested before
2) The search doesn’t quite work. If you really want to search something on the forums, I made a short guide for that: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/players/Forum-tricks-Searching-Advanced-method/ enjoy

And then on the Completionist title… It’s just that, completionist. It’s a shame that fractals, dungeons and sPvP maps aren’t part of it, but still: It’s a title meant for those who dabble enough in all parts of the game (-party only areas). It is not a PvE title, nor should it be.

People who can argue often offer a good and meaningful conversation about the subject.
People who can’t tend to call the opponent troll, scream something utterly incomprehensible
and finally result to personal insults.

The only bit that may be a struggle should be Stonemist Castle. I dont generally like pvp but enjoyed wvw and found it to be great introduction and actually got me playing the game with others, I have even started doing a bit of sPvP to work on my 1v1 skills and like it more than i thought I would.

Just keep an eye on the maps and get the points when you can, most importantly enjoy yourself (joining the zerg is fun if you dont like pvp).

Stonemist isn’t very difficult, if and only if you keep your eyes open. Press B every once in a while, check whether stonemist changed hands and ninja-expore it.
