A lot of this stuff will probably be in the expansions. I mean Elona had spears n stuff. we’ll probably see this stuff in other continents.
i would like to add single target weapon kits that do damage similar to other classes for engineers.
such as: Laser Guns, Sattelite Beam Remote Control(would b fun), Javlins, Turrent kit(multiple turrents w/o need for wasting utility slots)
other fun weapons for this post:
Tower Shields(acts like ur regular weapon+ shield combined(5 skills))
-with a AoE ability aggro on self, like a Taunt/Decoy
Claws(attatched to hands of course)
sniper rifles(very long ranged rifles/sniping abilities)
ninja kunai(throwing knives)
-maybe even a movement weapon with a grab and pull urself to it type, like a rope/grapple hook
tons of stuff i could think of, but those seemed to b most fun to me.

Yeah, they should add whips. You can already use one in that event in Ebonhawk where you whip the cows and it looks kitten.

I mean with all the cool looking harpoon skins, you basically already have your halberds and spears, just increase their size a bit and add in some skills and voila.
Could be more polearms if necessary.

Not all katanas are two handed.
ALL katana are 2 handed (they are light enough to be wielded in one hand if you train with them enough, no movie crap here). One handed katana are also shorter and known as wakazashi.
If they bring in katana, then I want no dachi (known as the fuju sword) basically a 6 foot kitana that is hard as hell to learn but once you do it makes any other 2h sword look like crap due tot he raw damage and speed you can get from a no dachi. A greatsword uses it’s bulk to cause damage and is a slower weapon. A no dachi is very much like having the length and cutting edge of a greatsword and the speed of a shortsword along with having the strongest cutting edge the world has ever known…there is a reason people feared no dachi masters…a well used one can kill horse and rider with a single cut and never present a target for them to hit.
That said…I’d rather they avoid the japanese flavor as we virtually have them (katana = reskinned longsword, no dachi = reskinned greatsword…unless they make new weapons rather than just reskins).
The style of the game is more steampunk meets dark ages…so flails, spears on land, halbreds on land, 2h axes, whips (albiet this one seems extremely silly as a whip against fullplate would do NOTHING).
I would also like to see nets be available as an offhand weapon.

This game is programmed so you can’t lure more than 6-7 mobs which are normally in current radius, if u lure them to far they return, what I’m trying to say is that this weapon would be useless, because requires a big group of monsters. And i’m against that they would change lands just to implement another weapon, me personally i’m against luring and cleaning big amounts of creatures.
H2H, Glaives, GreatAxes, crossbows, Wand (main hand focus basically. ofc, different skills maybe underwater), diving knife (underwater), buckler (light shield, focused more on parry than blocking), boomerang(already mentioned but as a thief, this would be too awesome) ^^

I see your point but as a wvw player I’d take the extra reach. And IM not talking massive ly long just little longer then gs. You wouldn’t be.forced to.change much.

HOWEVER, you could specialize certain skins to have particular skills much like the Elemental weapons and weapons randomly found around the world already currently ingame.
Yes, spears, we need spears! Spears should be able to stay out of melee range of other weapons. If done right, it’d be amazing.

I dont play an engineer, but I think a sniper rifle kit would be quite awesome for them. It would be slow, but powerful. The hardest hitting skills would be a directional stand still channel with a clearly visible moving bullet but it should hit hard at longer ranges. Perhaps to balance it a bit it would have low dmg at close range targets, and maybe only do its higher dmg to moving targets at long range but it’s basically the engineer weapon from wvw or pvp if they find a tower to snipe from ^^ No range beyond 1200 however.

As a Ranger, I can tell you 1,200 m is nice but really not great, especially for a “sniper” class.
As a archer IRL I can’t tell you how many times I’ve defended hills and thought “realistically with a longbow a company of archers could hold the enemy at either gate from the Lord’s room.” I can only imagine a sniper would feel the same way.

Greataxes! Two handed high damage with KD/Stuns would be great
Engineer needs another weapon definitely.
- Pistols: mix of CD and outright DPS —> result: crappy damage
- Rifle: not enough damaging skills: we have n°1 skill that allows constant fire, but no volleys or whatsoever
- Grenades: hardly viable in pvp: targets move to fast to actually hit them with the grenades (cause of ground-targetting). A good change would be that you allowed grenades to target players instead of ground!! Please think this over.
- Bombs: only good thing is the “Good ol’ Bomb” there, all the rest is pretty sucky.
- Turrets: too high recharge time to make it a good weapon
- Shield: good for blocking projectiles, nothing else
- Mine: only 1 mine? Takes to long to recharge
- Flamethrower: low dmg, misses a lot when moving around
- Elixir gun: crap
I like the idea of a sniper gun, to allow the engineer to become more of an offensive class, rather than having to run away all the time cause your skills are loading and cause you actually don’t have any big dmg skills that allow you to quickly finish fights, such as the warrior, the thief, the mesmer have.

Well weapons are more feasible then a whole know class.
I like the idea of a hand.cannon for engineer.

Rope darts or flying claws( claws or blade on the end a rope.
