I’ve got full ascended gear. Got my legendary Sunrise.

I’ve done every dungeon path in the game. Done fractals to 40+.

Yet Tequatl is way too hard.

Why?

Because not everyone is like me. Most players aren’t organized, don’t have a good build, don’t have max armor/weapons/trinkets, don’t know how to use their skills.

Should I then find content impossible to complete entirely because of the average skill level of my world?

Do you have some suggestion to fix it?

I agree with you man either his hp or his dmg has to go down to make this possible. i’m in similar gear to you. cleric stats. teq 1 hits me all the time. and the 6 cannoneers go afk and basically autofail the event for everyone.

i’m in support of challenging boss fights, but there is a difference. player success rate should be around 50%+. not less then 1%(I’ve only heard of one server doing it once so far)

I’d rather they leave Teq as it is for a while. People will rise to the occasion. Scrubs will give up and go away because their’s nothing for them in failing the event and they can’t be bothered to try and do what it takes to succeed.

Yar, I’m going to do what I can and hope for the best from everyone else.

If we achieve, yay, if not, I’m sure it’ll be a riot. Running. Screaming. Gas clouds. Fire. Not dull, fer sure.

Why not add a truly difficult dungeon? I even did Arah p4 with a bunch of random pugs last night and that one is supposed to be “the hardest”.

They did it by managing to get a whole load of people onto voice-comms and tell them what to do.

That kind of organisation might exist on Blackgate but it doesn’t exist on servers like Vabbi or Fissure of Woe.

Is it fair to say that even if you’re a great player, you have to be on the “right server” in order to be able to do content? Why not just delete Vabbi and FoW and merge those players into other servers?

The truth is that Blackgate got lucky to not have people sitting afk on the turrets.

This isn’t a “who has the best gear” issue. It’s a learn the mechanics and learn how to coordinate issue. Even the best geared people will be dead weight if they don’t know the mechanics and are unable to work together with their fellow players.

Their use of voice comms was exceptional. It not only included guilds but also a good number of pugs. With a good large core group like that leading by example and able to type in map chat they were able to get it done with only a little bit of extra time to spare. Its an unsual amount of coordination for this game.

Time will tell if that sort of thing is maintainable or if experience can make up for voice comms (because getting pugs on DB to voice comm is like trying to put out the sun with an ice cube). I see what they are trying to do, you don’t play an MMO so you can avoid working with other people, but i’m not sure uninstanced Teq with a mass of randoms over map chat is any better right now.. we’ll have to see how it pans out with more experienced players over time.

I’m quite organized also. Even synchronized. Wherever I go, I’m always right there with me. Unfortunately, almost everyone else is doing their own thing.

I feel like one of the benefits of being an average sort of player is that I don’t feel entitled to defeat new content the minute it appears. If it’s really hard I just figure I’m not good enough to do it yet. Did I have a lot of fun trying to beat Teq? Yes. Do I have ultimate gear? Nope.

You know what I do have though? The ability to follow directions. I’m not sure how I’m supposed to be “experienced” on a fight that just appeared, but if you tell me where to go and what to shoot at I can do that.

Take the time to teach the pugs how to play. We were all inexperienced at one point.

Elitism is bad. You are word for word what people are reffering to when they use that term.
