Its not designed for 80 people, it takes 150ish or more.
The fact is, it is a world boss… that cannot be defeated unless over a hundred people organize on voice chat.
The point of a world boss is that anyone can join in, so this defeats the purpose. If this were a raid, it would be great.
Agreed 100%.
This content is not at all drop-in/drop-out open world event content. It’s much more keyed to large guilds and organized VOIP communication which is the complete opposite of public drop-in / drop-out open world events.
It has no place being there in the first place, and it should have been put in a raid dungeon or a guild mission. It’s as simple as that and I don’t have any idea why ANET did this. It makes me mad because this was an obvious mistake that shouldn’t have happened. They need to fix this mess asap, and not do this again.
Now you have people leaving their own servers to go into the ones that have beat them, making the whole thing even more of a cluster mess disaster.
You have people staying for the fight and disconnecting because there are too many people in an area as well, or its so laggy that they cannot avoid the things they should be avoiding during this fight, resulting in too many deaths and failing the boss.
I am so mad and disappointed right now.
There are so many things working against this new update that if they did it a 2nd time or didn’t nerf this, I would question the people in charge. This makes no sense at all and it’s just not enjoyable content at all. It’s a frustrating mess that wasn’t needed.
