What I expect is that this is similar to the Flame & Frost living story, that we get multiple updates every 2 weeks regarding the same arc. We most likely get a dungeon within the Tree in a month or so.
Don’t expect it to be permanent content though, that Tree won’t be there forever.
They mention in the patch notes that the tower “appears to be here to stay”
It would be awkward for it to remain after the problem is resolved. Maybe we will convert it into something useful down the road?

they might be able to remove its poison attributes and leave it standing., i mean lets be real how could they knock that down? where will it fall and also if it fell wouldnt it just spread more spores everywhere?

I dont have hopes for it staying no matter what they say, i won’t believe it til i see it LOL things are so temporary with living story. If the problem is solved, yeah what would happen with the tree and would the dungeon still exist to be ran… if the dungeon still exists then the problem is still there and the corruption should be spreading no?

Trust me, don’t get your hopes up. This is without a doubt one of the worst Living Stories so far in my opinion. I admit that the tower looks really nice, but unfortunately its just “there”. All you can do is walk around it.
You will not step foot in the tower. You will zerg for achieve, you will zerg for new recipies, you will buy gems for crappy reskinned weapons.

i dont mind zergging id just like us to get some new pve content that i can go back to whenever i like and is well designed. arena net claimed that the living story can deliver expansion style content so in my mind this is there chance to prove it one year after launch.
What are the new recipes?
I don’t think it will have the same rewards as existing dungeons. They put three new armour sets into the store and the new faction themed weapon set was put into the BLC. If the dungeon had new armour and weapons, that would be a lot of new sets.
I am expecting it will be a dungeon, but probably only with one path and the new trophies are the primary rewards.
I am expecting not to even step foot into the tower.

I doubt it is a new dungeon since we had a new dungeon a month ago and we are getting a FotM revamp with the next 2 months.
Also you can tell by taking into account how much work is put into each patch since most living story teams are on a rotation where they do 2 updates in a row. The TA dungeon took up a lot of that teams time (can tell this from very few additions to Halloween). For this patch, although there isn’t much to do gameplay wise, you can tell they spent quite a bit of resources into this patch since they revamped the visuals of a huge chunk of the zone.
I expect we will be entering the tower next patch, it just won’t be a dungeon.

im expecting that we do step foot inside, why else whould they give us a new heal to counter the toxin the tower emits which only happens in close proximity to the tower if we werent going inside? regardless though they need to make it so that when and if they do make it a dungeon that its more rewarding that other recent LS content which has not been very engaging or worthwhile.

If you even remotely pay attention to any of the intro story mission other NPC dialog at the camp, you find that they have to solve 2 problems to get into the tower in the first place: Anti-toxin for all the poison around the base of the tower/inside it, and breaking into it.

exactly if this tower is like a big carrot on a stick where you can look and not touch this patch will become stale literally within in the next few days waaaay before 2 weeks is up.
It should be hollowed out and turned into condos
