What do you guys hope the tower of nightmares will bring? I personally hope it brings some soloable story instances. Those are my favorite part of the LS releases.

Solo story + dungeon + open world events – will be best combo.

Good and coherent lore.

An awesome dungeon crawl and good skins, hopefully some nice dynamic events.

-Underwater content.

I hope it’s a great dungeon to go through with some good drops. Perhaps some good Ascended crafting materials

Some mature content. No more Scarlet, just hard dungeon, dark-styled environment, slaves, maybe some blood and gore (Yes, I know, Pegi 12. World of Warcraft also has PEGI 12, but that haven’t stopped Blizzard from making Naxxramas and things like Thaddius (abominated undead creation made of parts of slain people, during the encounter you could hear their voices, screaming http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bn4GYI8S3dU) or another mature content at all!),
As we can see in the trailer, shown kraits seem to be…afflicted someow, glowing green. I think it can be connected with Tequatl Rising somehow, but I dunno…

I hope there’s gonna be more stuff to do than Blood and Madness. BaM was sooooo boring.

What I really hope for is something like the Tower of Insolence of Lineage II. Now,,that was fun.

I actually hope they don’t add new dungeons, and instead roll dungeon updates (a la TA) to existing ones. There are enough fracturing of the player base as is and some dungeon paths are nigh impossible to find a party for.

I hope people will soon realize that in that other MMO, whenever new content is released, old ones are also rendered obsolete and phased out for the primary player base.

I hope to see some good serious content.

I hope you after make your way through the tower, from bottom to top, with various challenges in your way.

It would be nice to have 2 versions as well, a easy version…perhaps no to little reward but you get achievements and a harder version, which gets increasingly harder the higher up you go, with a reward chest at the end of each level.

Finally, a nice scarey, spooky surprise at the top because its that time of year…

It used to be just krait, but I really really dislike how much CC a group of mummies can throw around, it’s not fun. Once Halloween is over it’ll just be krait again, though.

CC is the most annoying mechanic to fight against in the game.

I have to agree with that. Nothing like rushing in on an NPC feeling epic and powerful just to get thrown down and watch yourself lay on the ground for 3 seconds.

I have to deal with that enough in life, would rather not in game.

Makes me feel like I’m running around in Orr before they nerfed the amount of mobs there. Groups of mummies make me yell at my computer.

I’m hoping for more Scarlet. The more we see of her the better we can understand her actions. But I really do like the way the LS has been delivered, in general. I like that there have been a variety of stories that separate but not completely disconnected from one another. If you don’t enjoy one type of story, there’s another type just around the corner. If you don’t like any of them, well forum complaining has become its own recreation here.

I’m hoping for that free skill point in our home, and something new and refreshing to hit PvE….I did see a thread about a JP that ends with a boss fight on the top of the tower and a dungeon in the tower, which would be pretty fantastic in my opinion. Maybe the drop rate of everything will be improved.

Same. I like solo content that is relatively challenging.

When I overcome it I can feel accomplished rather than just having that excuse: “Oh the other 4 people in my party FINALLY figured it out.”

Murder Scarlet!!!!!!

A permanent mission event were you morph into a krait and kill hordes of Quaggans as they flee from you. Something to help you feel better on a bad day

A new dungeon with its own armour and weapons, and also for us to finally kill Scarlet. Thus far, she’s becoming more and more nonsensical and bland each update.

I want a dungeon with different levels of ascending difficulty, in tower form.

I’ve stopped hoping. Whatever it is, it probably won’t be as good as we thought.

2 Things:

• Maintaining lore, not further breaking it (pretty unlikely to occur though, bring out the lore-break hammer)
• Some actual development of the plot that consists of more than a single sentence’s worth. Because that’s all Twilight Assault gave. We need some real development, and for us to matter and not just be some sideline figure that has no voice, no opinion, and no reaction from Scarlet about (still waiting on that promise of revenge from August…). The plot needs to develop much faster than the current rate, and I’m praying that’s what we’ll get.

Because who knows, maybe if we’re told more, people won’t see Scarlet kitten lore breaking. Maybe we if know how she got the Flame Legion and Dredge working together, what her goals are, or how she’s behind the krait and Nightmare Court (if dat mining is correct) then perhaps there’ll actually be something there to like. The main hate of the LS in the story itself is its lack of telling story. And every update I pray this gets improved.

If it isn’t, I may end up leaving GW2 before its inevitable flop.

Concerning lore. The lore is never static. It is subject of change and evolution. At the moment we witness the growth of a new aspect of the lore. Lore is flexible and unbreakable. It simply growths in a new direction.

With the plot I agree partially. The delivery of the plot/lore is currently not optimal. It reminds on a scavenger hunt scanning the infos in game on the official page and sites like TowerTalk lore specials to keep you up to date. First improvements are planned for the near future. Let us see what it will change.

Scarlet will attack us directly as soon as we do not think about it any longer.

I hope the release will bring some good story instances. I enjoyed Prince Edrick. Further, a thrilling open world area would be highly accepted.

You see, Scarlet could have been a good villain. The build up was pretty good, the Aetherblades whispered her name with fear and she appeared as a mysterious and intriguing figure at the Queen’s Pavilion. That was great, you don’t know what she’s actually like but the way she appeared there, you can feel her malice and you knew she had plans.

Then she took her hood down and it…just died. She’s supposed to be a figure which you’ll never second guess but at this point, it appears she can’t even second guess herself. Why is she randomly attacking random parts of the world then just running away?

She’s supposed to be the mastermind behind the Aetherblades and everything to do with the LS but she has zero leadership qualities and reeks of silliness, not authority.

She is basically just the Joker ripped straight from the Batman comics and placed here, in a high fantasy MMO. The Joker was a criminal, not a global threat, and barely anyone outside of Gotham city gave kitten about him.

Since when did “change and evolution” regard making unexplained and sometimes blatant retcons to already and LONG established lore?

Lore is VERY much breakable. It happens in this thing called “retconning without plausible explanation.”

A new dungeon with multiple paths would be great. Also maybe something to do with the Elder Dragons as I’m pretty bored of Scarlett and would love to get the main story going again in some form.

Also it would be nice if Anet actually went out of their way to address the many imbalanced and broken skills/traits that are plaguing WvW/sPvP.

I would like to see a more efficient way to obtain some armors, such as the mad king’s. (I’m still frustrated that I can’t select dire stats, but oh well)
Less huge events with giant mobs of people would be nice….
An epic dynamic jumping puzzle, so that each time you do it, it’s different. (Then, maybe, they could up the loot.)
And lastly…they should end the whole conflict with Scarlet.

I would like to learn more about Scarlet’s actions, but at the same time I would probably rather have that in a different update than one about krait, personally.

I would like to have several solo instances to play through. Those are my favorite parts about Living World updates. I loved the Flame and Frost instances, and the Dragon Bash instances. However, they are the only two updates with any notable instances, where the majority of updates have maybe 1 or 2 of them that are extremely short. Take Blood and Madness for example. Way too short, and way too few.

Dungeons are fun as long as it can be completed without people leaving and cause the group to be kicked out.

I would love to see more lore directing us closer to fighting another Elder Dragon. That’d be great to see.

A jumping puzzle would be nice as long as it’s not too ridiculously hard.

For all of these, a challenge is good, just don’t destroy me with the challenge. Aetherblade Retreat is really the only dungeon I have a problem with, since it took forever to get finished. The boss fights were fun, but it’d bug out and party members would leave and/or the boss fights just were too hard.

So to summarize:

1. Learn more about Scarlet (In another update though preferably.)
2. Lots of Solo Instances
3. Some fun, difficult dungeons.
4. A clear hint about the next Elder Dragon we’re going to be fighting.
5. A jumping puzzle is fun too.

Ambitiously speaking however:

1. New zones
2. New dragons

You get the idea.

A fix-buff to Rangers.

Unfortunately, I doubt it will pass.
