The only solution is a guild only run I guess…
I have only been in a PUG group about 4 times since I play gw2 and it was hottible every time
despite i’d say the dungeon is neither fun, nor hard IMHO.
If a mmorpg forces you to play only with friends, then is going against the definition of the genre.
Why not having a multyplayer game for 5 people?
A PvE player is supposed to avoid a 1-2 second 1 shotting aoe.
A WWW player is considered uncapable of avoiding a 5,75 second aoe for half his health.

Nope, the only solution is reasonable sensible people like us reporting idiots such as the players described by the OP. Active participation by the proper players to counter kitten behaviour will severely aid ArenaNet in keeping the GW2 clean of teenagers etc displaying the behaviour I once had to face every day when I still played WoW.
I did the new dungeon yesterday with a Pug and the atmosphere was brilliant. People communicated through chat, we tried to analyze what to do etc. No problems whatsoever.
I’d recommend finding a laid back guild as well. If you join one of these 500 man guilds it’s as good as pugs. If you find a small sized one that actually consists of players wanting to play together your experience should improve significantly. Unfortunately you’re NA, can’t play with you
What’s WRONG is the community.
I’ll quote a good man here:
Uhh…yeah actually that’s EXACTLY what they’re working really hard to create. Look at any of J-Sharps more longwinded schpeals on why they won’t do Skill Splits. They’re definitely working as hard as they can to put all their effort on eSports while classes like Ranger, Engi, and Necro constantly take back seats to War/Guard/Mes. ….A lot of it feels more like they’re only working on excuses, but there’ a lot of skill changes getting cranked out along side that too. So they’re obviously doing a lot of work to foster this community to specifically expect the Worst from these subpar classes joining them in Pugs.
The community acts this way because the content is fostering that type of behavior. The whole gearing is our natural tendency to attempt to blame things (sometimes people get blamed, other times gear) – people are bad at figuring out what causes their frustration (in this case it’s RNG death, not gear, not other players).
Some players think that 10 000 AP means they are better, it does not – it means the are supposed to be above that type of childish behavior because they have been through a lot of this type of the stuff in the game and therefore you should be able to expect a certain level of maturity (or frustration condition resistance/cleansing xD) from them.
Epistemic.8013: Guys this is bullkitten a sentient plant creature is hitting these
wooden doors with fireballs and it’s working.
There is no “RNG death” in this dungeon.
AP barriers are laughable. I have thousands of points just from my daily and monthly. Which really take little to no effort. Same with a lot of APs. I’m hitting 10,000 AP without hardly ever being in a dungeon or fractal. The fact that people think it represents some kind of ‘skill’ …. Oh dear.
There is no “RNG death” in this dungeon.
Multiple player getting the pheremone during Slick and Sparki + the plant during that sequence not working as expected = RNG death in pug groups.

If anet gave a kitten… half the population would have been banned about a year ago.
The community is self correcting imo. What I mean is that if people don’t like the content that is being released every update, they will go away until only those that like the content remain.
I don’t understand why people play a game if they are not having fun. Sure you can complain about something that is just released, but if you haven’t enjoyed the content for 3 or 4 updates why stay? If people stay to complain, that it’s not Anets fault, but the players.
