Guild Wars 2

Started 2 days ago, so basically running around the world, feeling like an idiot.
I’m a norn guardian, leveled up till level 10 without an idea what exactly I’m doing, just killing whatever I can and reading the messages in the right up corner.

I need help, I need friends and I need patient people who to tell me I’m not as stupid as I feel. I guess I’m looking for a guild, but it will be nice if the guild uses Ts/ vent/ skype for communication, because I can’t even get how the chat box works.

Hi Eyia, I know just how you feel. Like you I’m very new (downloaded yesterday) but I haven’t got to level 10 yet.

I’m pretty sure the chat box will work on / with a letter? We need a list of which and I’m sure it’ll be hiding in the help section somewhere. Guesses would be /p for party chat if you’re in a party. /g for guild chat? /s for chatting to someone you can see. /m works but I’m not sure if that’s world chat or what? Confusing huh?

Hint for guild hunting. Say which server you’re on. Unless you’re willing to delete your character to change server that is? (you can see which when in character selection screen, lower left list of name, class etc has server name also) If you already know all this then please excuse lol.

Tried to deal with the chat box and totally messed it up. Now I can’t even see NPCs talking

I think I know what the problem is. Look at where the chat box was- do you see a small, squarish speech bubble with a black arrow in it? Click that and it’ll show the chat box again. You can get a list of chat commands by typing “/wiki Chat Commands” in chat (no quotation marks).

Feel free to PM me (type “/tell Falunel”) if you ever need a hand or advice, by the way. I’m on Tarnished Coast but can guest over.

Heya! Writhe [WRTH] is a small casual guild looking for new recruits. We currently have 40+ members. Most of our players are new players learning the game. We have a group of experienced players who help guide them through leveling and learning the game mechanics. There’s no such thing as a stupid question with us. Thank you all for the invitations, but it’s hard to decide now because looks like I have chosen a wrong server to play and now I need to pay for transfer. So I’ll chose wisely my guild to be sure I’ll pay for this only once.

You do not need to pay to transfer. If you delete all of your characters, you will be able to transfer servers for free. Hopefully this finds you before you spend anything.

Also, you are able to “guest” on other servers in your region for PvE. In other words, you can freely play on any server in the EU region as a guest, with no restrictions except for the following:

-You will not be able to access WvW for a guest server.
-You cannot use guild upgrades if your guild’s home server is different than yours. (You will still be able to participate in and get rewards for guild missions, however.)
-Every time you access the character selection screen, you must reguest.
-You may only guest on two worlds every 24 hours.

You can also party, message, and send mail to players in different servers and regions. However, you can only run dungeons with people in the same region. (I lied earlier when I said I could guest to you, since Tarnished Coast is a NA server- I misread Blacktide as Blackgate.)

Thank you for your time Falunel, I think I already got the picture. My problems are:

- All the guilds I’d like to join turned out to be on American servers
- I like the PvP aspect of the game most and I will want to war with my mates in all the wars, including WvW
- I don’t want to delete my character, maybe this sounds weird but I started somehow to identify with her and we together leveled up to level 14 for 3 days.

So I guess I will transfer just need to decide where exactly. Anyway thank you again and I added you as a friend if you don’t mind

I was writing to you earlier here in the thread but maybe my post was a bit PR-ish.

But why not give Pandion Knights a try. We are on Seafarer Rest in EU zone. We are casual, mature and really friendly. We have been playing GW2 since the start and we still very active. Also recently lots of new players like you joined our ranks. We have ts when we do socialize every evening, have some laugh or just chill out. You could just guest, until you will gather funds to transfer. We had couple of players joining us from different servers and we are perfectly fine for them to stay on different server until they get money to transfer. Some decided to just delete their chars but like I said we don’t require it. Just enjoy playing with us by guesting, and slowly gather money to transfer by doing dungeons, events with us. This game is just too boring to play it alone.
