About me:
My names Daryl & I’m a 36yr old UK male who has only just picked up GW2 this week (2nd December 2013)…just couldn’t resist the Black Friday pricing on the Digital Deluxe Edition. I have been into computer gaming for probably close to 30 years or so now, and have probably tried most of the big name games during that time. I did spend a number of years playing WoW, but left before the Mists of Pandaria expansion pack came out. But moving swiftly on…

Crafts: Weaponsmith – Level 500
Achievments to date: Plains of Ashford – 100% Complete

Information for recruiting guilds:
I’m looking for a casual guild to call home. A Guild that can offer me help, advice & guidance in respect of character builds, levelling guides etc and in return I can offer a helpful (always willing to do what ever I can for my fellow guildies) , friendly and well humoured (albeit a little dry, sarcastic and adult at times) attitude. I can normally be found in GW2 most weekday evenings between 18:30-21:00, weekend’s will vary greatly (as and when the kids & wifey allow lol).

I’m currently only really interested in the PvE/ personal storyline side of things at present. Although as I learn more about GW2 and the way thing’s work etc I’m sure that I will be looking to get involved in dungeons, WvW etc. PvP & Roleplay has never been and never really will be my bag (so to speak), although if the guild needs/want’s me to take part/ help out in PvP I would of course be more than willing.

What am I looking for in a guild?
World: Ideally the guild will be on the same World as me.
Focus: PvE/PvX
Style: Casual. The guild must be pretty much drama free, life’s far to short!
Activity: The vast majority of guild members will ideally be online at a similar time to me as well.
Size of guild: I don’t mind to much if the guild is large or small in numbers, it’s member activity that counts for everything in my book. Although having said that if the guilds too small (less than say 25 active members) there’s less chance of other’s being online when I am, and to me online gaming is about the social side of the game as much as actually playing the game itself.

Anyway…I’m sure that I’ve probably taken up more than enough of your precious time already, but congratulations if you have managed to get this far lol…if you have and are interested in recruiting me to your guild, please feel free to drop me a mail in game or leave a reply here.

PS: My character name comes from the combination of two of my favourite bands name’s.

Many thanks for your response to my post, it is very much appreciated.

Having looked at your guilds recruitment post, it does on the surface look like a very good fit indeed.

Unfortunately as you have pointed out your guild is based on Desolation, and after already spending a rather large amount of gems/gold on getting my weaponcrafting to level 500 I just simply don’t have the gold to buy 1800 gems to pay for a World transfer at present.

Having looked around the following website () it would appear that my World (Ruins of Surmia) is somewhat down the list of Worlds ordered by guild numbers. I guess that will teach me for picking a medium populated World instead of a high/very high.

I guess the only thing for me to do in order to assist myself in finding my ideal guild, is to transfer Worlds. This isn’t something I really wanted to do, but I guess its the logical way forward.

So as of now, whilst I am currently based on Ruins of Surmia, I am happy to move World’s for the right guild.

Hey there, just wanted to mention that for most parts you can simply guest to play with others – WvW would be the exception here. For Dungeons you don’t even have to guest.
