The Warrior changes aren’t great the only one I really like was 3 percent more damage for every boon enemy has. There is still lots anet needs to do for warriors condi clense and general viablity.

Can we stop posting angry retorts against honest efforts to get esports started? Can we calm down long enough to take a look at what is happening and either lend a hand in building a foundation or get out of the way so we can lay a smooth foundation?

Can we stop sounding so ignorant about everything that we don’t like or think we know more about? Can we stop thinking that bashing something with anger and vicious attacks is the best way to solve a disagreement? Can we let people just enjoy what they enjoy doing for 5 minutes before taking a flame to their bodies over believing that something may just happen?

Can we at least take a breath and say maybe someday it might just happen? Can we stop crushing the dreams of people everytime someone clicks their heels 3 times and tries to go home?

This effort is trying to build a community of competitors who actually enjoy this game and want to get better regardless of many pending balance changes that may or may not be needed. I am sorry if your personal preference differs than most in this thread, but if so, just don’t ever click on it anymore. But if you want to connect with friendly pvpers who want to get better and eventually partake in e-sport competitions that are being held soon then feel free to join.

I think you are being too sensitive to a simple name choice. I think the amount of effort Bas/Shawn and the others have put into establishing a competitive community, they have the right to use whatever name they want. Who are you to judge?

Anyways, to the rest of the people reading this thread, google doc should be finished up today! It will have a list of everyone who signed up and all the information everyone provided in a easy to access/read format. We will soon use this information to build a calendar for you guys to view or start scheduling people to practice with each other. I am impressed at the number of sign ups thus far. The Flightless Predatory Birds (temporary name-possibly) is now recruiting players for a 15 member squad!

We are looking for active competitive players for a core group, to more casual players who are looking to build skill and get their name out into the community. Our goal is to eventually have 1-2 teams representing us in community events.

If you are interested, message Black Avarice in-game and I’ll get you into some matches with us asap. Our core group will be semi-selective on profession to ensure a competitive composition, but besides that the main requirement will be friendly cooperative players who can rep with dignity. We are sticking with small numbers now, for organization purposes but are extending it to 3 teams essentially to guarantee we always have practice members or subs around so all members begin to develop different comps/team synergy. We are hoping to be a new force in the PvP community as well as a launching pad for other competitive teams once we get our feet under us.

We are definitely looking to push meta boundaries and I personally have a growing obsession with off meta builds. So if you have that wierd build that nobody gets but is extremely effective in your hands, you may find a home here.

Avarice, just a tip, while leagues like Mist League and SOAC Tournaments allow two teams to rep as long as they have a seperate title. Some of the heavier and larger tournaments will only allow 1 team per Guild/Team. OP and SOAC both have two teams, and it can be a bit tough to get them both in certain tournaments.

I did get to watch both my teams scrim against each other last night, and it was incredible to watch.

Haha ill keep that in mind, It’ll be a while (if ever) before we rep multiple teams. For competition we are creating our core team, as opposed to tPvP/community events we will all participate in.

I’m still new to the PvP side of the game, but im willing to grow with an active team. I have the motivation to improve. i also have a mic and will download any programs needed

Just throwing it out there that I have been trying to play with as many of the new members as possible and welcome everyone to the guild. The more active people we have the easier it is to get quick pickup games going, and I know I personally am on the lookout for some of the better players to put a team together.

Please be sure to rep the guild when you want to play at least so you can read/post in guild chat since a lot of pickup games revolve around finding players through guild chat.

If you do join the guild and want to do tournaments try to familiarize yourself with one competitive build and the basic concepts of gameplay at a minimum first. While this isn’t super serious it is meant to be competitive. There are people in guild (myself included) and tons of guides available online that can help new people out. If you don’t know what homepoint is, or why it’s important to stand in the circle as a bunker you probably shouldn’t be in tournament ques yet.
