Guild Wars 2

Hey there,

My other half and I recently picked up GW2, and are in the process of looking for a guild on the Maguuma server. It’s awful lonely when there’s no chatter going on, or people to play with and such! Even just leveling up, it’s great to be social or run around with others. Basically, looking for a home—a single guild to represent, rather than use GW2’s weird multi-guild system. (What can I say, I’m an EQI original.. I’m used to guilds being family, not chat rooms or social sites to flip flop or join and leave)

PvE, sPvP, WvW (Looks fun, I loved DAoC but sort of confused on WvW right now but eh, still low level. Plenty of time to figure it out.) Roleplay is a plus, but I’m not expecting it. Basically, all aspects of the game. We want to do everything!

Being active and talkative are key, although guild size doesn’t matter to us. I’m the more outgoing/talkative half, as he’s brand new to MMOs—but I’m hoping to make both of our experiences in GW2 good ones.

Hello both of you!

Although the guild I represent is not on Maguuma, Guild Wars has a ‘guest’ feature, allowing you to hop on other servers and do all content apart from WvW with them! More information can be found here: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/World#How_to_guest

With that being said, MadCast Gaming is a PvE focused guild, but we do also step into WvW and PvP a couple nights a week, we are a friendly and mature guild, with quite a number of members.

MadCast is a gaming community that is bigger than GW2, but we are working on growing our GW2 sector right now. You can check out our website at http://www.madcastgaming.com/ips/forums.
I especially suggest you read through the forums some to get a feel for what we are all about! Here are some points you may find attractive about MadCast:

• We have a mature community. While MadCast has no specific age requirements we do have high expectations for maturity. You will find kind, patient people and no drama. The vast majority of our members are over 18 (especially in GW2). Most of our GW2 members are older with careers, and many have families and children.

• We are a serious community with casual gameplay. In other words, the main expectations we have for members revolves around positive contribution to the community and not on a packed GW2 schedule attendance. If you are active in the forums and show up to a few events a week, that is good enough for us. Additionally, because we are casual our community is made out of all levels of players. We have many very new players, some new to gaming in general, and our environment is built on kindness and helpfulness. People will be happy to answer your questions and guide you through things no matter how basic or advanced.

• We have a super awesome, active TeamSpeak group. We enforce strict rules of respectfulness and tolerance among our players, making it a safe friendly place for everyone. People of all types feel comfortable joining in the conversation and making new friends.

• Our community is bigger than in-game. We have a website with a lot of activity and heavy forum use. This is a huge asset because we have people who play all kinds of games over at MadCast, and the forums really serve as the uniting factor among people.

If you check out our website, you will see information about becoming a Full Member of MadCast. This is not something you need to do right away. Our guild welcomes ‘Associate’ Members, meaning we will add you to the guild, you are free to use our TeamSpeak and join our Forums, but you do not have complete access rights for inviting people to the guild yourself, or accessing certain Full Member parts of our forum.

This is a good way to find out if MadCast is the right fit for you before applying. In the long run, to gain any ranking position, we require people to be an official MadCast Full Member.

Unfortunately our guild, Just Us Grownups [JUGs] isn’t on Maguuma. I realize that you’re looking for a guild on that server but I thought I’d bring our guild to your attention anyway so that you’d have options if things don’t pan out with Maguuma.

You’d be more than welcome to Guest on our server for as long as you’d like and there would be no pressure for you to transfer if you don’t want to; the only real drawback to this is that you would be excluded from running with our guild in WvW events unless you were to transfer.

About us:

Just Us Grown ups [JUGs] is a very friendly, drama-free guild which is comprised of people 30 yr.s old and older (our minimum required age is 25).

We are on the Jade Quarry server which is one of the three top-ranked servers for WvW. It’s also a high population PvE server and players from all other servers come to ours to participate in it’s events.

We have an even mix of male and female players and welcome both new and veteran players. We place a high value on community. We have a great website and a fully upgraded guild of over 150 members.
