Greetings Knights of Ares,

I have been playing GW2 for just over a month and I am really enjoying it. I have recently been looking into guilds. We have had many random invites with no communication involved, just open world guild invites. I prefer people who actually communicate with each other, use complete sentences, and are out to have fun. My wife and I have leveled to 80 alone and are now looking to join a group to enjoy content with friendly people and avoid random strangers.

We will have trouble making events at 5pm server as that is when we get off work on a good day but we are active players, friendly as bears, and love good teamwork. Also long walks on the beach and cat juggling on weekends.

I hope to see you on tonight at some point and we look forward to meeting you.

Hello, I’m a relatively new GW2 player and usually play with my brother, but we are not always on at the same time. I was invited into a guild, but other than the guild leader (who is nice), nobody seems to want to do anything together or even talk with each other. I’m looking for a guild that has members I can do stuff with But may need to be shown the ropes if it’s outside of regular PvE…is this the right guild?

This is the right guild for that Queen! We do a little bit of everything and we have a lot of helpful people in guild. We even have Guild Mentors that are specifically here to help you in anyway that you need, be it advice or learning Dungeons/WvW/PvP. And as we have almost 300 members, there is always a variety of activities going on in guild, so you will never be bored either.

My question:

Why should I join the dragonbrand server? Give me a couple pros and cons if any?
Im looking to join a server that does it all, pve/pvp/wvw and that has fast ques.

Hey Chargers,

To answer your question Dragonbrand is a great server. We are well rounded and do most PvE events like Tequatl a couple times a week, as well as daily World Event Tours, Champ Trains, and Temple Runs. We have a great set of WvW Commanders, and a really active player base, but we are not large enough to have hour long que’s to enter WvW. Most times there are only 2-3 maps with a short que, so you can always enter one map then que for another. PvP is server wide so server doesn’t affect that aspect at all.

Honestly the only downside to Dragonbrand is that we are currently ranked 5th Overall in WvW, so we are facing the big servers. As a server we were too strong for Silver League, and dominated the other servers, but we are not yet strong enough for Gold League. Don’t get me wrong we aren’t doing terrible, in fact we are holding our own, but we are outnumbered fairly consistantly. But this let’s us do more roaming as we can’t compete with the other Zergs.

I’ve been away from gw2 for a good 6 months or so until recently a friend managed to get me back in. He’s a flake though so I’m all alone and half a year is long enough to forget a lot of things. Everything is new and scary again. I’m basically looking for a guild I can get back in the game with. Chill in the background a bit and read up on the chat to see whats where and maybe participate in your events eventually (If you still have them) after I figure out how to not die again. Would you guys be it?

We are that Guild! If you aren’t level 80 we still have events you can partake in if you want. Daily events like our Thursday WvW Raids, have no level restrictions, so all members are free to come join us. And Guild Missions don’t have a level restriction per se, but you need to be able to make it to the Zone that the Mission is on. But since the Zone is assigned at random, we can’t Guarantee you will be able to attend all of the missions. We still teach Dungeons on a Daily basis for new members, and on a bi-weekly basis for the GW2 Community. The Dungeon Mentoring runs a great way to ease back into the game! If you are interested in joining us, I will have an invite sent out.

i am curious how guild work on many different server? for xample my home world is anvil rock. how i do dungeon with guild?

Hey Damien,

Dungeons & Fractals are instanced content, meaning they are not located on a specific server. If someone enters a Dungeon in your party, and you are on the same map (you don’t have to be on the same server), a menu will pop up asking you to join them. For Guild events like Missions they are held on a specific server (Dragonbrand), but you can Guest to other worlds for free. However a lot of this is already done for you due to the new Megaserver changes. The Megaserver is supposed to put everyone from a Guild/Party on the same Map, meaning guesting should no longer be required. Really the only thing that is Server related is WvW. So unfortunately you would not be able to enter WvW with us unless you transferred, but you would have access to every other bonus our Guild has to offer.

Hey guys, I was wondering if I could join your community!? I’m still a noob in the game, but I have a level 80 character that I’ve only played with just a couple of friends. I have barely scratched the surface of what this game has to offer so I’d like to experience it all with more people. I think a guild and community like yours would drastically make my gameplay experience a lot more fun!

I’m am new to GW2 and have only been playing it for a little over a week but I am loving every minute of it. I have all of my character slots taken up by a variety of races and professions just to maximize my enjoyment. However, the only thing missing from my ability to really enjoy the game is a great guild. I think that I may have just found it. I’ve been to your website and am currently awaiting admin approval so that I may apply. I’m on Devona’s Rest right now but I don’t WvW yet so I probably won’t transfer servers until I get past the PvE learning curve.
