Guild Wars 2

Me and a few of my friends have come back from a hiatus of a few months and are now looking for a guild to do things with. A bit about us: We tried to make our own guild but was unsuccessful in recruiting, the large guilds were already established and we missed our golden chance. Soon after we quit when the game stagnated.

At the moment we’re all on Fort Aspenwood but generally we’d like some company, we all have 80s and are rarin’ to do some fun stuff. Since it’s been awhile I’m not sure how things have changed but we’re willing to embrace anything and were hoping to do so with a nice enough friendly guild that’d take us all in. Whether its big or small, as long as there’s company we’re loyal and hard working.

I hope this has grabbed some attention, its not fun when you’re a small band of misfits amongst larger guilds.

Welcome back to Tyria! Glad you have returned

The Remnants of Hope is based on Tarnished Coast and offers PvX, RP, and WvW while maintaining a fun and social atmosphere in TS3 and guild chat. We have several people in the guild who like one aspect over the other and others that do a little bit of everything. No one aspect is required as long as you guys are playing the game the way you want to and having tons of fun!

To some we may look like a huge guild, about 100 members total about 30ish active, but never will you feel like your just a number or the mule just there to do stuff for others. We all love to meet new people and explore new things together, whether it be leveling/exploration parties, random dance parties in Lion’s Arch or out in the Mists running fractals we do it all.

Additional Info:
We’re all from Australia, I main a Guardian while my other two mates main a Warrior and Ranger.
We’re receptive to suggestions and we’ll work hard for the guild.
It’s been awhile for all of us so be aware we’ve gotta get accustomed to the game again.
We mainly prefer PVE but don’t mind doing other things the guild needs us to do.

Since there were only just the three of us most of the time we haven’t done much dungeons or fractals for that matter, PUGs on our server were rare so we couldn’t nail much of the PVE content down as we’d hope.

We’re extremely friendly, we’ll help you out if we’re available.

Looking forward to guilds who organize events as well as other content that we haven’t done.

I would love to have you and your friends in Alchemy Incorporated, a guild on the Sorrow’s Furnace server, but I’m really wondering about the time offset. Central time zone is GMT -6 and most of our members are in during the US evening/night hours. Still, if you want to give us a look you’d be more than welcome!

Hey there! I just saw your post about where you are from! We have a few that play in the same time zone that you are in (one I can think of that is in Australia) but then there are those like me that don’t sleep like normal people and play all hours depending on what’s going on lol . We do schedule events but we also have “pop up” things that get put together in guild chat!

reply to Aye: I don’t mind the timezone but its a bit difficult for my other friends, the Warrior mate is a full time worker but currently is on leave cause of his health, but he’s willing to put in the time and effort to game more oddly enough and the Ranger mate is seeking work so he’s concentrated on that, but recently I ignited his MMO fire. Me however, I do some freelance translating jobs for the asian community so I usually have a lot of free time. We’ll discuss things before we make up our minds, Thanks for replying

reply to Haloa: It’s all good, we’d love a guild that includes all of its members, we’ve been in too many guilds that have their own circles and excludes new/casual members. I also sleep at odd times,(darn these games!) but I’m generally free. I fell in love with guild wars 2 when it came out but it stagnated over time and with no guilds that would take us in and nothing to do or nothing we can do for most of the content we gave up. Now we’re revving up our MMO engines and are ready to engage in some guild fun.

Sounds good! Our guild is a multi gaming guild… we have divisions in SW:ToR and Final Fantasy so if GW2 got stagnate again (i hope it doesnt) you could try another game but still hang out with us. I originally came into the guild (almost 2 years ago) in ToR but have fallen in love with GW2 and play it exclusively now.

What hours do you guys normally play?

From first impressions, you seem like you’d be good to game with. So we’d be happy to have you in Cynical on Tarnished Coast. My only concern is that you’d have enough people to play with if you play in the middle of the North American nighttime. We have a few that stay on mumble until about 6pm ACT (not sure if that’s your zone). And last time I was up all night, I think there was 3 people online at the lowest point. We get around 10 in the NA daytime and 30 at peak NA nights. So I’ll leave that to you to see if it’s a good fit for hours.

As for dungeons, we do 2 organized regular dungeon events and 1 fractal night per week. And then lots of ad hoc groups as requested in /guild chat. The fast ones get done every day. We have an LFG area on our forum where you can say what you want to get done and find others who are interested in the same.

When I joined a year ago, I had only done AC and CM, so I made a topic tracking the ones I hadn’t done, and got steady progress on getting my dungeon master title with guild groups.

It really breathed new life into the game, finding the right guild, and one with enough people to play with. You should definitely try a bigger guild before giving up on the game.

After reading carefully over your PMs and discussing your cases over with my friends we have decided on a guild. Thanks for your replies and consideration.
