1. Armor Sets; TA Aether path was a great first step in having an additional weapon set even if they are reskinned. I just want to see new dungeons with new armor sets.

2. Precursors and more defined ways of obtaining them. Scavenger hunt anyone?
3. New Weapons and Additional Skills (weapon and utilities/elites)

WvW:
1. Larger Maps and Larger player caps. Terrain similar to pve maps. Canyons/huge forest/jungles. I’m thinking something like lorners pass or an unpopulated unstructured metrica province. Also thinking underground tunnels. or even a city map.

2. New forms of objectives. Protect water supply/build forts or scout towers or even oil moats.

PvE:

1) Expand weapon accessibility for all classes (For example, dual pistol mesmer, etc)

2) Add actual meaning to the personality system (Charm, Dignity, Ferocity) so it actually affects character progression through the lore.

3) PvE Expansion content. Cantha or Elona continent. There are also several areas like Dominion of Wind, Crystal Desert, Ring of Fire, among others shown on the GW2 map that are currently inaccessible.

1. Support Class. That works with game mechanics but is not neccesarry inorder to complete dungeons but a joy to have around. (not like an in your face guardian)(And with and actual support theme) aka bard, monk, blah blah. alot of us miss this character and feel our role is missing from the game.
2. Focus on making story the core of the game. Deep DEEP DDEEEEPPPP STORY STUFF. Dark and Thick Lore.
3. Allowing for a quick swap between traits and armor to easily swap between roles
So you can have a DPS setup a Condition Setup and a Support Setup and be able to swap between the three easily.

I hope this isn’t another one of those PR tricks, but I’m giving it a shot nevertheless.

The one thing I would like to discuss is the increasing grind in this game. This grind includes ascended, RNG, etc. Instead of skillbased gameplay, it’s all about doing the same stuff hundreds of times and collecting thousands of items/tokens. I don’t really understand how this can be experienced as fun and it’s the same reason I quit all the other MMORPGs and joined this one.

Another point I would like to talk about is about buffing random mobs, like for example Krait and Risen Drake Broodmothers. You create situations like the one in Caledon Forest, where the Risen Drake Broodmother in Caledon Forest (which is level 3!) is close to, if not impossible to be killed by a party of equally leveled players. Not to mention the Champion Krait Witch that no one touches anymore in Timberline Falls.

But I digress, the main thing I would like to see being discussed is the grind.

1 Balance between roles – damage, support, control and (to some extent) bunker – support and control look like poor choices in pve relative to berserker-style damage, and bunker is in much the same boat.

2 Event scaling – events are often fun when there are 10 people or so, but when there are absolutely lots, events can become too zergy

3 The condition cap – maybe some kind of rework of the way conditions work and/or some less server intensive way of calculating them.

1. Patches that focus more on permanent content, rather than on Living Story achievement hunt (new areas to explore, new classes, new professions, new skills, etc.)

2. Less zerg-dependent content – more dungeon-like bosses, revamped world
bosses (make the fights more engaging and fun, but do not turn them into The Sunless raid style of content and, if many people partake in the event, scale the difficulty and the rewards appropriately), more dungeons in general.

3. Make the game more alt-friendly – make sure that the old zones have always something new to offer even when you have reached 100% exploration, so that replaying old content with an alt is more engaging and entertaining. Make the ascended gear obtainable in many different ways, but also make sure that you can obtain each ascended piece solely through one of these ways as well- for example, if I like crafting, give me the option to craft all of the ascended gear (not just the weapons and armor). If I plan to buy it with laurels – I can buy it with laurels (no ectos, no t7 mats, just laurels). If I play dungeons a lot – give me the option to earn the gear with tokens. If I prefer jumping puzzles or WvW… well, you get the idea. Do not make people play all aspects of your game in order to obtain a whole set, let them procede the way they want. Fix the class balance problems.

And please make it so that if you have a large stack of something, say 100 essence of luck, you have the option to either “use 1”, or “use 10” so that I do not have to break my left mouse button to double click them all. Thanks in advance.

2. Living Story, make the rewards easier to achieve since this is a limited event. I hate the part where I have to do >50x of something. Make it simple, and fun. A good example is lighting the effigy, back then for Aetherblade. The lighting should have been limited to just 5 and it will be as good.
3. Craftable precursor pls. I have played this game, almost everyday since start and farmed Orr and temples back in the early days and RNG hasn’t been kind to me. Forging >400g worth of exotic, and >200g worth of rare turned out nothing as well for me. You could say, I’m the unluckiest. So, if there’s a way for craftable precursor that doesn’t involve RNG, then it’ll be awesome. But if say, you make pre craftable and it requires lots of RNG based mats (say that doubloon that is needed for legendary) then it’s super bads…

Make the crafting of Pre a good journey. Say:
a) Do this Living Story, and you get this piece.
b) Then you have to go to this place and to do tasks 1 to x, and get another piece.
c) Next, you are summoned to WvW and partake into taking the SM Castle, and in so doing, you are again rewarded another piece.
d) Followed by gaining certain points in pvp
and so on..

The thing is, those I listed required effort. But nothing based on RNG. Make the making of precursor, a legendary experience.

1. Class Balance
We’ve had a recent patch, but it was extremely disappointing. Everyone should just roll a warrior. There should be a dev thread in each class forum discussing traits, skills, and builds.

2. Ascended items
Needs to have much more ways of obtaining them. Please don’t time-gate them. If a player wants to put in their time and resources to get it, why not let them? Let people do it at their own pace. Artificially prolonging it is such a drag and is not fun.

3. World bosses
Why on Earth is there a 15 minute time limit? Stop with the artificial difficulty. There needs to be much more interaction with the bosses. Have them move around and hit players instead of us tickling their toes to death. It feels the same as auto attacking a gate.

1. Increasing the value of Condition Damage and Healing Power in group play, as opposed to the supremacy of Berserker stats (Power/Precision/Critical Damage).

2. Ability to replay personal story instances, or at least the pretty dialogue screens. (Of course, decisions should stay locked in, and rewards can be taken out or reworked on replays.)

3. More town clothes for players. A specific suggestion is to make it possible to acquire existing skins that are worn by citizen NPCs.

1: Condition cap problem, structures are invulnerable via conditions etc. Condition builds aren’t viable in pve. Players always want you to play berserker etc…
2: Viability and balance of all classes (all non-heavy classes)
3: Customizability: Dyeable weapons, dyeable particles and effects, player housing etc..

PvP:
1: New non-spvp(connected to pve) pk zones as large as or slightly smaller than wvw maps but without sieges&castles/pvd (Just for pvp fun and honor points)

1. New Campaign: Zones, Areas, Continents, Races, Professions etc. Preferably Cantha or Elona, but also the Crystal Desert, Maguuma Wastes, Ring of Fire and other areas would be nice.

2. UI improvement: side bars for quick access for food, predetermined waypoints, minis etc. Trait templates with free change for different playstyle. Same goes for gear ofc.

3. Elite dungeons, raids, bigger parties (10-20). You did thatin GW1, do it in GW2. We need dungeons with bosses like Tequatly where we can fight in an organized group. The open world is not a good solution be cause of server limitations people who don’t care etc.

1. Living world/expansion: will we see more direct tie in from gw1 into gw2 from story missions and living world content?

2. home instances/failed potential : so far since release we got a candy corn node and a crystal node that we can add to our instances….. ok so what else can we do with it? decorate? play mini games? we could have an entire marketplace on the TC for things to add. there is so much potential here lost.

Quality of Life:
1) Wardrobe. Like the Void Storage on the WoW, a place where you can store your armor. My bank and my bags are FULL of all my sets!
2) Sound alarming when sPvP tournment is ready to start (when the dialog box popups), sometimes we just don’t enter the spvp map because afk or alt-tab.
3) We want store our trait builds and armor sets on a single button shortcut.

1. Casual-friendliness

For the daily achievements, all of the five tasks have to be completed the same day. It could be made more casual friendly, if one could complete for example 2 of the tasks one day, and 1 task another day, and so on, until 5 tasks are completed. (Just as one example of a change that could make something more casual friendly).

3. User interface (also sounds), and immersion.

Some of the new sounds for achievement rewards and such are a bit loud compared to the other sounds in the game. (At least for me, maybe it’s different from person to person. I had to turn down the volume a lot, and I kind of miss a lot of the sounds from the game, since I had to turn the volume down. It would for example be nice with a slider so achievement sounds could be turned down.)

It would also be nice to be able to hide the xp and wxp bars, the WvW score bar (the big one that is also in sPVP), and make some of boxes to the right smaller, and the achivement chests smaller, to be able to see more of the game world.

1. Fix Conditions in PvE. I think that I don’t need to spell out what this means, it’s been brought up enough. It relates to the growing corruption of “full zerker” attitude within the game and I think it’s something very crucial to deal with in the near future.

2. 10+ man dungeons/raids, whatever you want to call them. Larger, organized, instanced events which guilds can take on.

3. If I could choose “Fix Conditions in PvE” twice I would, but in lieu of that, I’ll say: Multi-trait/build functionality. I don’t even care if I have to pay to switch it back and forth, it would just be nice to have two stored setups.

1. Lore releases in form of blogs instead of ingame. (Copied from someone above, but I totally agree it’s bull that lore is not released in game.)

2. Armor skins. (Still too many butt capes or skirts with pants underneath. Seriously, wtf?)

3. RNG. (I’ve only done Tequatl once just to say I have. Otherwise, I don’t believe the randomness of loot is worth it. I much prefer the dungeon token route where I can get what I want.)

1. Bloodlust. (The diminishing returns change at least acknowledged the problem, but it’s still a bad idea.)

2. WvW skill reset. (Why can’t I spend in game money to reset my WvW points like I can my class traits?)
