Charged Lodes and Cores
The best place would be the TP but otherwise I’ve found the dust mites to be relatively good for the charged lodestones. They also drop onyx.
Never had any luck with sparks.
Dust Mites in Dry Top seem to have a much higher drop rate for Charged Lodestones than Sparks ever have.
Farming charged cores and lodestones is next to impossible. Sparks can drop them, but at a really low rate. Crucible of Eternity might be useful to run, but my guess is that on average your gold reward for the dungeon would net you more lodestones than drops themselves. Salvageable aetherized metal scraps will also sometimes give them, but as far as I know they only drop in the Aetherblade fractals and the Twilight Arbor Aetherpath. Even there the salvage rate isn’t high.
Most of the lodestones that I have had drop for me have been from champ bags, and that is not an efficient way of getting them.
You can buy Orrian boxes with karma and get a few from those.
so do dust mites really have a good chance?
Don’t expect to have them drop like rain, but back when I used to farm Dry Top seriously, I got about 5 Charged Lodestones from Dust Mites (both from farming the event, and from killing random Dust Mites in the map) over a period of about 2 weeks. I also got several Onyx Lodestones.

Cool, im using my b day booster to farm for them, its hard so i just run coe to see what i get, im looking for spark cores and thats hard enough
As addition to the Dry Top
If you find a good group, you could(could, lot’s of effort) farm TA Aetherpath. There are usually 2-3 Aetherized Metal scraps per run. If you stop after the big group before Foreman Spur, you could complete it in round about 20 Minutes. Then disband and do again(As the subsequent rewards of doing a path aren’t really worth much).
Not sure how much this is affected by DR.
Also, do your daily CoE fullrun. But a little side note from my personal experience: After you got around 50 Charged Cores and a handful of Lodestones, they stop dropping for a while…
Good Luck farming your Lodestones!
That’s a fundamental problem with this game that vets have known since launch but newer players may not understand: you can’t just go out and farm mats you need. It sucks. Legendaries and the cooler MF weapons wouldn’t be nearly as difficult to obtain or downright out of a players league if things like Lodestones could be farmed to the tune of 4-5/hour or something at least halfway reliable. I’ll skim through neat looking skins and think “hmm, that’s something I could spend some time trying to make that would fulfill a sense of accomplishment…oh, 250 Charged Lodestones. Nevermind.” Granted, players who really want them will get them, but for players like me it’s just not worth it. I don’t have the play time or the gold making abilities to hammer out getting 250 Lodestones in a reasonable amount of time.
Crucible of Eternity and Dwayna temple chest. I always have more charged than any other type, and this is where they come from.
It takes 100 charged lodestones to make Bolt. When I was making it I thought I would farm them as well, but like the above posters said, you just cant really. I got to know CoE well, and I still enjoy running it, but you cant count on it to get that many charged lodestones. In the end, I got the vast majority of mine through MF promotion.
Just drop a buy order in the TP and get em that way or if you have generous guild mates, ask for donations.
Your best bet is to farm cash and buy the cores/lodestones, it’s what I did for Sunrise, Infinite Light and Azureflame. Be sure to do coe all paths daily as part of your dungeon tour and salvage dungeon exotic armor for ectos and insignia.
GL getting your shiny!
