I’m going for The Bifrost.
I currently have the Gift of Mastery, fortune and Gift of the Bifrost.
I am trying to get the precursor and I cry a little every time the forge or a chest doesn’t give me one.

I think The Bifrost is super pretty.

Just an update, as of 05/05/13 at 1800 hours of playing I have made my first legendary, The Bifrost.

It’s funny, I took screenshots of every step of creating it except the final one. I was just so excited that I forgot.

A little under 3 weeks later, surprised by the progress! Bolt shall be mine!

Ended up buying a ‘The Bard’ because it was cheap.

Now staring at the heaps of T6 dust required for the Gift of the Minstrel in mild horror.

Why would you craft a Minstrel?

I am still stuck on the Gifts of might and magic, the t6 mats are just… being uncooperative.

Gift of Twilight, Gift of Mastery, Everything but some T6 mats for Gift of Fortune (I have most of them), oh and I need Dusk… There is no way ill be saving up 600+ gold anytime soon to buy it, so ill try my luck in the forge from time to time.

I can almost buy eternity from all the 7 precursors i made from the mystic forge in 3 weeks time! Progress? I’m stuck with only 300 gold left to buy.

1% world completion- green bl hills vista and green EB ( turn green next week =D)
8 runs of CoF for tokens
600k karma for shards
50+ skill points for crystals

then ill have incinerator =D

Progress so far (my aim is for The Juggernaut):

Gift of Mastery is done.

Gift of Fortune: Got all mystic clovers and am working on replenishing my Ectos and getting my stacks of T6 mats. I’ve finished my stack of Ancient Bones (all farmed) and am close to finishing my stack of Powerful Blood (Karka farming ftw).

Gift of Juggernaut: Got plenty of molten cores to convert to lodestones, and will be upping my CoF farms once my Mesmer hits 80 and I get her kitted in Zerker gear. Gift of Metal is almost craftable (just need 60 more Ori ingots). The problem, of course, is the stack of silver doubloons. I foresee a lot of skritt farming in the future, as the supply on those is extremely low. Icy Runestones will probably come last, as I’ll be saving my money for the more expensive items first.

Precursor: I’ll get it eventually. Whether from a drop or buying, I will have it at some point.

By the math, I am now at 59% complete on my shopping list.

Southsun’s 200% magic find has been good to me. I went from 150 powerful bloods to 200 in just a few days of grinding.

Yup. Taking advantage of Southsun MF boost for as long as I can. Karka farming for now, but will probably try event farming, too to see if it’s comparable.

I am now up to 209 vials of powerful blood. Appears this will be my second stack to be finished. Once I do, I’ll switch gears more towards CS farming to get an income of Crystalline Dust and the other T6 mats on the side, while using the gold I earn to buy more of what I’m short of.

Ectos are slowly but surely increasing, too.

Crafted quip tonight. begin gathering process middle of last month and wasnt planning on finishing until most likely the end of june, but then dusk fell for me this morning. sold that and collected the remaining t6 mts ( wasnt but a 100 of the cheaper mats left anyways), chaos gun off the TP.

Now i shall annoy people to death in wvw >:). best part is i dont feel cheated for having to grind for gold to buy precursor since it was a lucky drop. still got quite a bit of gold leftover for customizations

Finished my Minstrel tonight. Took me 1920 Hours of playing mostly in WvW and some very heavy farming in the last 2 weeks(I don’t know how you PvE players do it). I told myself in Novemeber I was aiming toward it after seeing every other legendary on many different players but never the Minstrel. 7 months later I still have never seen anyone with it and and I finally finished it. Love it I feel like I stand out a bit more more now but I hope it gets updated soon to give it musical effects like the Mesmer 1 skill underwater or a better sound to all attacks but until then I’ll stand around the Lion Arch bank and switch weapons over and over again causing everyone to hear to the harp strum over and over again.

Now to start the long haul to get the next one.

I’m half done with Gift of Fortune and still have a looot of work for Gift of mastery…

I have everything done for my bolt minus of course the most costly, the lodestones and that kitten precursor :-(

working ong my 5th legendary, after sunrise, rodgort, kraitkin and bolt, all in my guardian, now dont know what to do. maybe hammer or maybe tw to forge eternity.

btw i alrready have a bunch of ectos, t6 and clovers… hope get all in 5 weeks

Gift of Mastery, Fortune, and Twilight are sitting in the bank, along with 545 gold. Just about 15 gold to go and I can start putting up the buy order for Dusk. I’m running out of steam though, the CoF grind is killing me.

Edit: Oh great, the buy orders have risen from 560 yesterday to 565 today. I need some lucky drops to boost me up, kitten

Working on first legendary. Wanted to make something other than the over populated twilight/sunrise so I went for The dreamer.

I have the Gift of Dreamer
I have the Gift of Fortune
I have The Lover

From Gift of Mastery : I have the bloodstone shard
I have Gift of Exploration
I have Gift of Battle
I have 230 Obsidian Shards

I have had rage drop in a dungeon and the colossus from the forge while doing my daily. I have stored both on an alt. However I intend to craft both the shield and harpoon legendaries at once. I have got more then enough gold in storage to buy all the missing mats and instantly craft one legendary and if i sell the precursors i have stored i could craft both. I’m however putting crafting my legendaries off because I fear I’ll loose interest in the game once I do.

Second! Doing my Minstrel too, started in December, very close now!

Just need to get 13% more world completion and 5 things in the furthest left WvW map which we haven’t had access to for about 3 months! Woo! X’D

I still don’t know which legendary I want’ none really appeal to me. But to give myself some personal goals I’ve begun work on the gifts of mastery and fortune so that I might make up my mind down the line and it’s a lot easier than I was expecting. I’ve only been working on it for about 2 weeks and now have:

475/500 Badges of honour
43/77 Mystic clovers
0/250 Obsidian
2/1 Gifts of exploration

Plus I already have about 1.5k gold, so obtaining a precursor and the other materials will be trivial. I’m holding out hoping that we’ll see new legends in the near future that don’t look like toys made by Mattel; my money is on them requiring a gift of mastery and fortune so it’s a good time sink.

I’m going after The Bifrost.
I’m missing The Legend, Runestones and T6 Mats. I could’ve bought them from TP if I wasn’t flushing all my money down the Mystic Toilet all the time with no luck.

100 runestones and 500 T6 missing – still have a way to go but getting closer and closer.
T6 donations are very welcome.

Finished t6 mats, clovers, and got my precursor. Now I’m doing Onyx Lodestones. I got 20/1000 onyx lodes.

Doing world completion and stuff last.

Decided to buy out the t6 mats that are down in price due to all the SSC farming. From this point on I will be able to sell off drops of the completed mats to help fund the other parts.

Icy Runestones are going to be the last thing I get since that’s a fixed cost.

I’m not sure which legendary greatsword I want. I mean, Twilight looks cool, but everyone has it, Sunrise just doesn’t tickle my fancy, and, from what my friends have told me, Eternity isn’t worth it.

I’ve just been playing the game and one day I realized I had a nice chunk of the mats needed so I threw them into the MF. Buying the t6 mats that have dropped in price was the first concerted effort I’ve actually actively put toward the legendary. Everything else just comes in its own time. Much more relaxing way to go for a legendary in my mind than the grinding away everyday at it. But it’s coming much more slowly than what it does for others.

I guess, I will spend another two month until I am finished… lucky me, had some good t6 drops and got the pre from a fellow jadesea player, who was so kind dying from my phantasms

Gift of Fortune is DONE. Yay! No more mat farming!

Now for the hard part: Lodestones and Doubloons. I am starting with Lodestones, as I need Molten and it’s stupid easy to farm those (CoF). And since I’m making a lot of money on the side, I will be using it to help fund the core promotions (mainly dust, I’ll use laurels to buy binding agent to help keep costs down) and eventually the doubloons.

Precursor still needed, of course, but it is second to last on my list (last is the icy runestones).

I’m trying to get an Incinerator.

I’ve got the Gift of Mastery, Spark, and 68 clovers.

So, so far away. ;_;

For Meteorlogicus I only had left to get 46 charged lodestones and less than 50 left of vials of powerful blood, vicious fangs, vicious claws and armored scales. Been farming for mats for about 5 months.

I gave up throwing rares in the forge about 2 months ago after I threw in probably 400 of them. But got bored of the Southsun event chain and decided to throw greens and rares in the mystic toilet today instead of selling them – just this one time again. Thought maybe would get a nice exotic to sell. Wound up putting 4 rares (3 weapons 1 armor) and got Chaos Gun. Sold it probably well underpriced (made someone happy at least) and bought the lodestones and left over t6s.
