Actually i find the 1 shotting mechanic more fun. The wall trick just help put the reflect on lupi face, aka, where the source of the damage is going. I see there the whole point of having reflect on the game, minus the quantity of damage. .

So it’s more fun to do the least threatening phase, then just skip the other two by the press of a single keybind? I disagree. Killing Lupicus the second he does that AoE has always been possible out in the open too, but only with a very coordinated + well-equipped group unloading all of their DPS under the feedback provided by a mesmer and it requires very good RNG too. There’s a distinct difference between this and what the topic of this thread is. Either way, I don’t find either scenario any more fun than fighting him traditionally.

Reflection is intended to be used both as an offensive and defensive utility in combat, this is obvious. Being able to kill a boss instantly the second it performs a particular attack in phase 2 is obviously sketchy and unintended. Preventing this from happening wouldn’t remove the whole point of having reflect in the game, lol.

Thus my third paragraph.

By the way it’s been wayyyy longer than a month. This has been possible to do since Arah first came out it’s just that it wasn’t discovered until sometime late this summer.

I showed him the video about two months ago, closer to three by now. As for any proof? No I showed it to him while talking to him on TS and he basically told us (me and my buddy Die) that that’s a big no-no. To our relief he said he was gona get people on it to fix it guess LS is more important…. weeps

Yeah but then you have to ask yourself are you really better then person who used consecrated ground? I still do it because well I like to fight lupi but really shouldn’t have to force people.

I would rather anet make it so he cannot even be pushed into a wall would make stage 3 with pugs alot more amusing

For selfish reasons I’d hate that because then I couldn’t go for speedkills anymore. Offwall warrior solos are so ridiculously slow now since all of the nerfs in the past year.

Hey, why don’t we exercise hyperbole in response to everything? I mean, it’s not like removing reflects from one particular boss fight completely removes them from the game. We could always save dev’ time and give the boss a complete overhaul!

But seriously, the GL fight would be a lot more dynamic if you didn’t burst through entire phases with reflects. Spin it however you want, but I don’t think nerfing reflects across the entire game is the way to go. Just change one encounter and voillah.

Well, only using virtue passive and no shelter/focus 5/ retreat/wor would already be quite impressive.

I admit the first time I saw it I was impressed. But I do Arah almost only for enjoying thr fight with Lupicus so I prefer do it “normal way”.
Is that to be considered exploit or not? As far as I read here, lot of people do it!

It simply spawns in front of you, it does not care about any terrain changes. I managed to cast my feedback into the ground once and I doubt they changed that by now. //Also you’d have to make some room between Lupi and you and as everyone knows, Lupi likes to cuddle starting with p2.

Anyone who has feedbacks the Jungle Wurm head know how to place it on to the ground with precision. I thought it was a given when I learnt about it.

Haven’t done it, my last Arah run was a year or more ago and there most pug groups just ranged him which took usually almost 10 minutes. I would do it of course. Doing the same boss over and over is not really fun.
