I pug all the time and I actively avoid any “zerkerz onlizzz plzzz” or “+6 or more k AP onlizz plox” parties, I also avoid ones that exclude any classes.

My general experience from parties the few times I was in them was everyone was hostile and you felt like you were in some kind of exam about to be whipped across the knuckles if you made the slightest mistake, elitist pricks, people faking being an elitist prick to get other people to carry them, people who have no idea how to play the game.

The pugs I do run with are usually very friendly and great to chat with, surly thats much for enjoyable than sitting in cof p1 with your butt cheeks clenched so tightly your eyeballs are about to explode, holding a stop clock to figure out how much this run took.

Also to the guy who kicked the clerics guys, I’m sorry you deserve the kick, if I saw someone do that in a dungeon I would immediately request a kick to that person, have fun :v

This is experience from all of the 3 parties I joined (with those titles), one guy openly admitted half way through the Aether path that him and his 2 friends also in the party had no idea what they were doing, I spent 3 hours in that dungeon trying to help and just gave up (he said “experienced only” in the lfg).

The other 2 time the party wiped once and everyone just started shouting, it was enough to make me leave.

I don’t care what class or build or what the hell you run as long as your willing to listen (if you don’t know what your doing). You might call me that but again this is how I’ve been shaped by such a toxic community.

Oh yeah I’m not saying everyone is like that in those groups, I’m sure a vast majority of them are really nice people but from my experience I’ve been stuck in a group with the most sour sections of the community effectively turning me off those parties.

I’m glad this is a thread. I wouldn’t mind if people were putting “Experienced only please” in their descriptions, but I just got kicked for having the gall to join with a non 80 Guardian into a dungeon I was overleveled for. I know the dungeon, have done it plenty of times on multiple characters, and meet the requirements. But when I joined (Mind you the descriptions just said “Path 1”) the leader said, “Lol, 66?” and then kicked me. I had a hard time joining another dungeon anywhere because they all had “80 Zerker only War” in the descriptions. This sort of player-gating is getting rediculous. I run fractals a bit and have had less trouble with non-80’s than I’ve had with 80’s most of the time. One person said to me, “You’d understand if you played GW2 enough.”

WTF? I’ve been playing since GW1 BETA! That’s not enough? I’ve run successful and fast pugs through AC with all 50’s. Meanwhile every time I have an issue where my pug is stuck, they’re all opinionated 80’s who blame each other. Something needs to be done about this.

make your own party? I level almost purely through dungeons. When the lfg tool is full of 80zerker war only You can rest assured that there are LOTS of people like you who are waiting for others to take the initiative and make a group. Stop being a follower and start leading. ofcourse by leading you will get lvl 40 310ap wearing lvl 20gear for “CM p1 lvl45+”

Thats what I dont get. How do people NOT find groups? EVERY group I make is filled within 1 – 2 minutes. Sometimes I get upset as I dont even get a chance to make sure I am the instance leader its so fast (lesson learned – I list from inside dungeon)

Maybe its timezone? But its bloody 725am east coast here on a Wednesday morning and I am getting in groups ezpz.

Sometimes the lfg tool gets flooded with parties looking for specific people or path sellers. I once spent a while looking for any arah party and just kind of gave up, all I was getting was path sellers in my lfg window :/

Honestly, if someone can’t or refuses to follow simple directions in the LFG, then I question the competency of that person. I don’t care for whole “zerker only”, “heavies only”, “6k+ AP” stuff either, but if I don’t fit the requirements I don’t join.

That is why about 99% of the threads created here are started. People either don’t read for what ever reason or they do and don’t care about the lfg description. If you are too stupid/lazy to decide if the party description is something that fits you, you are likely too stupid to understand why you were kicked in the first place. (By “you”, I don’t mean you, I mean people in general)

tl;dr: 99% of these threads would go away if people read the lfg description and/or had the common courtesy to not join groups that they don’t meet the requirements for.

Unfortunately they wont make their own groups cuz they know people like them will join
