A pro tip for dungeons
Everyone in this forum knows that. Post in PHP or GD or spam it in map chat in game. You’s just preachin’ to the choir here, boy!

Should mentioned that stacking isnt an exploit. However in some cases an exploit involves stacking. Lots people seem to get a bit mixed up with exploits and stacking.
“A stack is in one spot like a stack of coins. A pile is close together but not necessarily on top of each other. When someone says “Stack here” they don’t mean near here, around here, or way over there. They mean stack here, on this one spot, not any other spot.
I hope this helps."
The purpose of the stack is keep the mobs in a kill zone for maximum dps. It is not the purpose of the stack to group all the characters within the high damage aoe attacks from enemies. It is perfectly good play for squishy classes to break off from the stack as long the mobs remain in the kill zone.
Ah yes stacking. The bane of fun.

I was playing a zerker for like a year, but I just changed to Pvt Hammer out of spite.
I hope you are happy.
Hammer is awesome, keep up with the fun.
I mean it.
I like stacking. Makes things fun.
But my favorite stack is a stack of Oreos.
And all who stood by and did nothing, who are they to criticize the sacrifices of others?
Our blood has bought their lives.
Or a fat stack of cash

By the way, that thread is still going. Oh god, I might have done CoE and AC like 2000 times each, what kind of exploiter am I?
… let me stack some cookies in my stomach to forget the misery.
Can’t type at this time.
I sometimes stack in game when but it can be
Hard sometimes because the bosses
Attack and my face just
Takes the damage. But without clerics gear,
Everytime I get hit I die to the melee
Attacks. In order to remedy
This problem, I change my
Skills and gear before every boss
Encounter to accommodate the team.

I miss bodyblocking from GW1. Stacking looks stupid. ANet should at least put some mechanics to punish it.

There are mechanics to punish it. The thing is that mobs don’t have the time to use them before they die if you stack and DPS correctly. With some exceptions in Arah where you can still potentially wipe if you get wrecked by some illusionist…
Before you say ‘well, then mobs shoulds have more hp’, or ‘then players should deal less damage’ or ‘then make them hit faster’, you got to realize that whenever you make suggestions to punish speedrunners, you’re hurting casuals and PUGs 4 times harder with whatever hurdle you put in the way.
As for bodyblocking coming back, with the LoS mechanic, it still wouldn’t do much. Bodyblocking worked really well in GW1 because you had tanks that could use those mechanics to ball up foes really effectively. In DoA by pull-throughs and in UW/FoW by using wall tricks. In GW2 with the lack of tanks, no one is seriously going to use that technique because just LoS’ing and stacking is equally efficient and it doesn’t require you to sacrifice a team member to be ‘tanky’.

ANet is mostly worried if you’re trying to squeeze an inch in on them.

Riiiight, and I find it stupid that a PVT fem norn in the t3 thong armour can be tankier than a zerker human in t3 cultural heavy.
THEY SHOULD TOTALLY PUNISH USING PVT WITH LIGHTER LOOKING ARMOURS
And this is why I despise the average player mentality in this game. “I don’t like it, so get rid please”. I don’t like non-power based, non-offensive gear in PvE but I don’t go round asking for it to be removed, even though it should.

Main reason i don’t do wvw even though open pvp is my favorite thing in every mmo since 1995. I took for granted this game was going to have this.

With bodyblocking the zerg events would be impossible to do. Imagine a crowded Lions Arch, you won’t be able to walk around because you will be bumping on everyone.

body blocking turns off in many games while out of combat. It only turns on when you are in combat.

Not to mention, body blocking only worked against enemy players/foes in GW1, so this would be a non-issue in GW2.
I mean, even if it didn’t, what developer in their right mind would implement a body-block system in cities?…
