This is very true. You just slew an elder dragon. You should get a weapon that signifies your accomplishment, in looks at least.

You mean, like the Pact weapons? I can get behind making them exos though.
Anyway, another Simin/Dwayna bug: when she fails to properly transition into phase 2 and instead simply does her hide/heal at 50% heal every time, regardless of how long or short it takes to do the sparks or dps her down. I just wasted two hours of my life because the group I was in refused to believe that it was bugged, and we just weren’t doing the sparks fast enough (even though doing it faster made her hide sooner). >_<
Also, serious issues with getting the sparks to their places; it’s hard to convince people that the issue is a bug when, even when there is only 1-2 people drawing sparks, a spark will lose interest and reset and/or spends 10-15sec dancing around the last spot half of the time.

I would like for Magecrusher (path 3) to have more of a tell for his Auto Attack. In melee, it’s an insta-cast with a very small animation that hits in AoE like a truck. Every other boss that has an attack that hits like that has a relatively obvious animation (even lupi’s kick has a distinct animation, and he’s 60 ft tall). I would humbly request that either his character model be increased in size or his animation for his auto-attack be slowed down or given a more obvious tell to bring it into line with the other legendary bosses in arah.
I think it’s fine. It makes meleeing risky yet teaches you to use projectile defense (….or just range).
basically its an l2p/gitgud type boss
wouldn’t mind an aoe pull though if people are out of melee range, followed by detonating the marks.
I’m all down for using projectile defense and it being risky. I just want a slightly bigger tell just in case I’m w/ effects happy pugs and can’t see anything through them.

Sorry but I disagree.
His projectile attacks having a longer animation would make this encounter a literal AFK fest. It needs to have some threatening attacks otherwise it’s just a bag of HP like berserker abom (which I personally think deserves a charge-like attack added to his absurdly small array of skills like the one those elite abom guards have).
Bosses like this with no tell for the animation are fine. Unless you get absurd RNG where he does the attack 6+ times b2b, you generally have a lot of time for endurance to restore/cooldowns to wear off while he does all of his “charge” animations to spawn more AoEs.

As someone who is soloing the Magecrusher on warrior daily, my 2 cents are:
His AA needs to be dodged before he does it (if you’re meleeing). You can run the standard meta build with GS and axe/energy sigil sword. Basically dodge/block every time after he finished his I’m-gonna-spawn-aoes-glow/triggering circles/lifedrain. This needs to be done in advance, so knowing the timing is kinda crucial (like evading Lupi’s kick with high ping). You keep dodging and blocking until he starts doing one of his channeled attacks again. Rinse and repeat.

Another problem in Arah, albeit a less serious of one:
-“Dwayna’s Tear” occasionally has no effect when thrown onto someone. Sometimes I find myself throwing even more than two onto someone or myself without being able to cleanse the petrification. No idea what causes it to bug.
Arah story mode is pretty great up until Zhaitan. Zhaitan isn’t just the dungeon end-boss, he’s the campaign’s end-boss (at least of GW2 vanilla). For one, he’s a lot smaller than expected. And two, you never fight him, you just watch him die from nothing. It’s so unbelievably disappointing. It kind of killed the mood of the game for me for a while. I played GW1 for the story, but GW2’s story ended on such a poor note.
- Remove Varra Skylark from p1 or make it so that she neither attacks or can be attacked. She is the worst NPC in existence and pulls mobs on a regular basis or keeps them aggroed to you even if you don’t want that. Randall also has an issue with keeping aggro as he runs at enemies, breaks aggro shortly in front of them, goes back to you, repeat.
- Remove Varra Skylark from p1 or make it so that she neither attacks or can be attacked. She is the worst NPC in existence and pulls mobs on a regular basis or keeps them aggroed to you even if you don’t want that. Randall also has an issue with keeping aggro as he runs at enemies, breaks aggro shortly in front of them, goes back to you, repeat.

That should be enough proof to let us get rid of the hellspawn Varra is.
Lupi:
So once you fix the instant kill in phase 2, you could look at phase 3. People stack under lupi against the wall to prevent him from using his aoe in phase 3. You could just do something similar to the spider queen in AC. This will make lupi a bit more challenging again.
