Shame I play on an EU server, or I would have loved to join you All LFM posts on gw2lfg for Arah that I have seen have been looking for “experienced only, no noobs”, and I stay away from those groups whether I am a noob or not. Learned the hard way how those groups tend to behave :P

I’ve tried to run this dungeon twice with PUGs and once with my guild and have failed at Lupi every time. I’ve given up after wasting approx 6 hours on this dungeon and like you said it’s become more elitist by the day.

I’m missing two pieces of exotic armor, but have ascended ring and backpack. I’ve done path 3 once before, so I at least know what to expect with Lupi (best boss in the game IMO). Still running with 20k+health and 2300 armor, plus death shroud, so I’m reasonably durable.

Truthfully, the armor is what I’m after.

Oh, and Signet of Undeath is standard for my dungeon runs.

Class make no difference to me. Defensive gear is best for the midboss (lupi) that stomps pugs. I run a mix of knight and berserker and then swap to soldier and knight for the lupi.

I’m 80 for not even a week and i’ve farmed 2 pieces of arah set already. Honestly i’m not getting what is hard about it besides dwayna. Can someone explain?

Hardest part about it is getting a group together and having it open simultaneously.

I am very interested in doing this dungeon if you would have me. I’m a level 80 guardian, have full exotics. My primary focus right now was dps/support… I mainly use power/prec/crit damage, but I can switc it up to whatever you would need. I use staff/scepter+focus primarily.

I have done ARAH story mode, so I have been in there, however I know its nothing like the EXP mode. I’ve done CoF, AC, CM, CoE, And a few fractals, so I do have some experience. I listen and follow instructions well and will ask questions when I’m not sure about something.

ARAH is one of the final things on my list to get through, so if you would have me I would appreciate it =).

This is exactly what I was looking for! Out of the few tries I’ve done Arah, it was full of elitists and people with negative attitudes (Which I suppose I can’t blame them, Arah is not easy and is very time consuming.)

I’m a Guardian with a supportive shout build with full Knight’s exotics, I would love to be taught the ropes and be taken along. My long term aspiration was to be outfitted in full Arah’s, and this is the perfect opportunity I’ve been searching for. I’m a friendly person that knows how to play his class and is experienced in almost all paths besides Arah in general and always carry a positive attitude with a willingness to learn and listen.

Hey obal, you can add me to your regulars for your 7pm ea run if you need someone experienced to fill a spot, full arah set/dungeon master and I have a zerker warrior, EM/AH guardian and a condition necro.

This sounds interesting. I have an 80 warrior focused on dealing damage w/ damage boosting shouts looking to do this. I have both Knight’s gear as well as a Berserker (CoF) armor set. I haven’t done arah exp yet, but done most of the dungeons and up to FotM 23. I’m willing to learn new dungeon paths, and this is no exception.

Edit: before i forget, yes i do have full exotics.

I’d like to join in as well. I’m east coast and have a Mesmer. Usually I’m on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday in the evenings. And also mornings and evenings on the weekends.

I’ve run Path 3 before but I’m still not as good at it as I’d like to be. I already have about 3 1/2 complete dungeon sets of exotics so I wouldn’t be running Arah for the gear. But I just want to run it because its there. And I enjoy dungeons. My hope is to get very good at Path 3 then learn the other paths eventually.

I’ve played with obal quite a few times. We met in Arah 4, and we both received our Dungeon Master title at the end. That path will bring out anyone’s true character, and his was one of patience and humility.

I’d be interested as well to run with you, Obal. I run a level 80 condition Necro with full exotic trinkets/weapons, but I also have a level 80 Banner warrior specced with Regen and full exotics. I’ve done path 3 before, but I would appreciate if you could do other paths as well? I’d like to learn about most of the paths save for Dwayna.

I’d love to run it. I wanna get the full arah set eventually I’ve ran it a couple of times, but unfortunately I’ve always had to go with PUGs, and have had some…. bad experiences, lol. I have a guardian and a warrior in full exotics, and I run dungeons regularly every day

Awesome! For weeks I’ve been searching for a friendly tour guide to introduce me to this dungeon.
My main dungeon toon is a AH hammer guardian with full exotic knights set. I use scepter+focus for ranged fights.
Unfortunately your times coincide with my meal times but hopefully I can get a few runs under my belt and eventually be good enough to start guiding other arah newbies

how you kill the last boss of p4? She stealth then heals, and even if you had placed the sparks flawlessly (say under 10 sec) she will heal up to 75%, and will go stealth again at 45%. it’s like a endless cycle, I don’t get how you could bring her below 45%…

I did it the bs way the first time where you dps her while she is invisible. I did it again after that update with 5 glass cannons + 4-1 spark trick.

Look up the 4-1 spark trick. Have a glass cannon make the instance. Have the other 4 retrait to glass cannon with as much berserker gear as they have. I would have a party of at least one warrior for fgj/banner of disciple and one mesmer for time warp. Aside from that theifs/warriors/eles to fill out the group. Full burst damage with 5 glass cannons and 4-1 spark trick took her down the second try for us. We had 2 war, 1 theif, 1 mesmer, 1 ele. I don’t think the other professions would be as good and conditions are bad for this boss you just want full burst damage.

I’d like to see how to beat Simin once they fix 4-1. It can’t be intended.

Curious, because i managed her with 3 dps (And a spit of a 4th , the guy near the entrance, an eng) with a formation composed by me condition necro half mm half wells (i had to remove 2 minions for wells and without the maxed dps i gained nowadays but still, i was maybe 13-20% lower than now), an ele, a guardian, 2 eng. And who was attacking her was me with minions , conditions and wells, the guardian and the ele. So, if you don’t mind “Sorry what?”
I’m available for arah to help , true veteran not using exploits/ skiprun/cheats to get his title and his fullset clearing efficently the entire path of the run. Until the group is formed accordingly to the requirements wrote by the OP expecially about attitude, feel free to call me as 5th if needed.

If you’re willing to help, we would be glad. It’s the very last path I need for the Dungeon Master achievement.

I don’t think I can stomach a full path 4 run anytime soon but I can sub in for someone for the dwayna fight and sub back out so your team member can finish the run. I did this for a group of my guildies since one of them lacked a dps set up character so they couldn’t kill her. I have a warrior and a mesmer.

Someone just posted a guide which is exactly what we did and it was pretty quick and easy here https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/dungeons/Simin-Arah-Path-4-Easy-guide . It is just a matter of having high burst dps so have a glass cannon set up to start the dungeon instance and so the other 4 can go back to LA and retrait to full dps trait lines or bring a better dps character they have right before the dwayna fight.

It did take me 8 hours the first time. We lacked the dps as you did and the sparks were extremely bugged for us. I did the same steps as that guide the second time and had no problems.

I like that idea but I’m wondering how you would post it to lfg? Any idea’s?

Here’s the trick. Pretend to be experienced in Arah and if you dont s u c k at this game none will notice. If you arn’t confident enough watch 1 or 2 videos on youtube. 1 and half week after 80 4/6 arah pieces. Started with no experience whatsoever.

This right here it is sound advice. I’d never been in Arah, watched a couple different Lupi fights on YouTube, and had no problems whatsoever with my first battle. In fact, every group I’ve been in has done better with the fight than the groups I watched

Back on topic, I just finished a run with the OP this evening. Great run and everything went flawless. Now I can join the ranks of “experienced” path 3 runners :P

The first time I did arah (I think p3), I think the hardest part was running through the mobs using the invi stuff. Everything else was cakewalk there. I was kinda surprised with lupi, as it seemed quite easy (unless lupi is different in other paths). Alll we did was to stack up during the first part, then run around avoiding the rings in the second o.o

You have no idea how much fun and challenging is arah playing the content, not skipping invisible

Ive attempted arah runs with PUGs and it never turns out well. spent a lot of hours for nothing. if anyone has an open spot let me know. arah is my last dungeon for the title.

That is pretty much the best thing you can do. I made another one yesterday of one of my regulars and I doing a 2 man run since there wasn’t anyone on/available yesterday and felt like having some fun trying to attempt it. It ended up making a pretty good video of what to expect and how to deal with his attacks, especially for a guardian, since I had pretty much full aggro.

I’ve gotten to just about everyone so far and still doing this at both times everyday. If anyone else still wants to go feel free to leave a post here for an easy and pleasant run. I start making a group at exactly the times I posted so be on and available and you will probably be taken if I haven’t gotten to you yet.

i have a lot of experience with lupi with my mesmer.

I wouldn’t mind tagging along during weeknights and can mostly make the 7 PM EST scheduled time (unless I’m at work since I sometimes working the night shift).

I’m a grenade Engineer and have a significant amount of dungeon experience as well as the Dungeon Master title, so I’m mostly there for tokens to purchase the dungeon set … and perhaps relearn the content since I haven’t been there in quite some time. STICKY PLEASE! All posts with players offering to teach other players about dungeons are saints! I wish more people would do this. It helps the community in the long run. More players learning dungeons means there will never be a shortage of team mates for runs.

Hi, if you can take a noob like myself for an Arah path 3 run it would be much appreciated. I’ve been having so much difficulty finding an Arah group, and from just reading your posts it seems a run with you would be a joy. By the way I have all exotic gear and I play a fairly balanced thief. I lean slightly more to the damage side, but only slightly.

Was a good run last night, thank you. Still thought it rather entertaining that the group was all guardians except for me.

Never thought I would do an Arah run in less time than a single potion of undead slaying would last. Discounting cutscenes, the run took about 26 minutes.

Ah, I’ve love to get in some Arah runs with you, obal! I’ve farmed path 3 exclusively to get the 500 Zhaitan shards necessary for my legendary, but that felt like ages ago. Ever since, Anet patched up the place so groups I’ve tried to join just can’t seem to handle the extra challenge. Now I need about 8 more runs to get some armor pieces but every pug I’ve joined just can’t beat Lupicus.
