CoE Golem Bug
He’s supposed to move around now, they might have broken something when they made that change.
QA testing: It should work. I mean, dude….it compiles…
Same bug here, MARK stays friendly
it needs to be fixed!!! having to redo the whole path hopeing that it doesn’t bug again is a huge turn off

Addressing both edits, my dungeon group did p1 and got this bug. We gave up and restarted, then didn’t get the bug.

This patch really did make me play the game less, lol.
Don’t worry, it’s just basic security measures.
Last night my group did P1 fine, went on to P3 and got the bug, restarted and it was fine. I’ve also seen some interesting bugs in other dungeons.
The Advanced Golem is definitely bugging out now that he can move. I haven’t done CoE enough after the patch to replicate the bug but I have an indication what’s causing it:
If you approach the room of the Advanced Golem the turrets around him activate. But if you move back before the Advanced Golem is aggro’d (but do have the turrets around him activated) then I believe he bugs out.
Yeah I had a path 2 bug out once. I always run full speed into the room now to hope it never happens

I got the impression he only bugged if one person ran in before everyone else. Either way, needs to be fixed, ASAP.

I don’t think so. We waited for spire and all went together and it still bugged one time.

I’ll start recording my CoE runs starting tomorrow, and see if I can figure anything out.
Same happened to my group. The turrets around it activated while the golem staid friendly. Only solution after that is to restart the dungeon.
Not sure if it’s related but when our golem bugged out yesterday (activated turrets/friendly golem), we decided to restart the path. The opener coudn’t enter new instance as he was “stuck” in the old one, he relogged, left party and nothing helped. Even when I opened a new instance and reinvited him, he was put back into the old one with bugged golem. He could enter new instance only after he wp’d from the map and back.
If you want to restart an instance just have the opener leave party, that immediately removes the instance from existance.
Happened today when I was about to do CoE for the first time after patch.
TY Anet. Another dungeon off my list due to unmentioned patch notes.
I’ve only done CoE once since this update, and the golem bugged ending the run. I heard that Anet decided to make him FGS-able (no longer stationary), so I guess the FGS speed kills are supposed to counteract the amount of times that the path just bugs out.
Don’t fix something that isn’t broken… especially when most of Anet’s fixes only serve to make content more tedious, or just break things that previously worked 100% of the time (Mesmer Warden, etc).
They’re going to fix CoE golem bug like they did the alpha crystal bug.

yes, that was my impression too. he bugs out to 50% if you do that.
so to avoid this bug. just stack might before and then go fully in! you should just be first before your party bugs it.
The alpha crystal bug… the champion destroyer crab with the ability to walk through walls…
But don’t worry, there’s more stuff in the gem store!
