CoF Four man advise
Path 1 is not technically impossible, ive seen a person do a jump puzzle over the event to get to end boss
2. It has to be possible but I think the forum community will be better equipped to give tips, I have read many threads with lots of good advice. Ive been switching from berserker gear to “tanky” pvt-knight gear in the path2 assassin room trying to see if pure dps or being able to live longer is better there.
Path 2 is possible w/ 4 players if you have profession armed to the teeth w/ closing distance attack skills. Run around thinning the mobs but not directly engaging them. Kill the hammer guys if you can. When the assassin shows up, use the closing distance attack on them. Rinse & repeat.
We did it once because 1 of our friend aggro his wife so he had to leave. Our team composition was 1 war, 2 guard, 1 d/d ele.

It was possible to 4man it, but now its impossible since the final boss event wont trigger unless you finish the 4 brazier + gate controller event. This was patched back in January in their list of undocumented ninja fixes.
there’s a consumable item that places mortar turrets (no im sorry I have no idea where it is)
Drop them in what will be sight range of the gate controller once the gate opens and they’ll shoot at it while the 4 people stand on the braizers.
You could also hop over the wall (still doable) summon 4 embers and kill the silver monster (embers are bought in fireheart rise after the tar lake dynamic event)
Then portal back over the wall (have a mesmer wp back, walk to the wall, throw down exit portal, hop over wall, summon ember, throw down entry portal)
I believe, but am not 100% certain that the embers will stay near the gate control, destroying it once you make it mortal.
AS for path 2. Again using consumables is hilariously strong. The embers mentioned earlier throw down 3 lava fonts apiece, they also can start to attack monsters that have yet to be spawned. With 4 of them you could probably spawn camp the charr.
Path 1 is 4 man-able if you have a Ranger or Necro in the party. I don’t believe the braziers can be completed with less than 4 though.
Path 2 is doable easily with 4, with less for an experienced group.
I suspect path 3 is doable with less than full as well, but my guild has not tried that one yet.

Thanks for all the posts and suggestions. Sarcasmic, you mentioned rangers and necromancers. Do you use the pets to keep the brazier up? Thanks for the clarification! I was running my guardian, but I do have a necromancer I can use.
I don’t believe companions can trigger the braziers, but they can destroy the controller. We’ve had Ranger pets and Necro minions kill the controller while the player filled a brazier slot. True story: Flesh Golem is amazing at destroying inanimate objects.
