Just an idea to put an end to the ridiculous state of this dungeon path.
Please consider giving all the path 1 bosses a strong retaliation buff. When I say strong I mean VERY strong.
Then maybe we will see less of these “4 zerker warr + mes” runs. Its really gotten out of hand already. Just look at gw2lfg on any given day and see for yourself.
Also, I’d like to see you make the bridge event unskippable.
Please consider posting this in one of the other 12+ threads also complaining about the same thing. A retaliation buff like that would kitten on everyone with a quick attack, thieves, short bow rangers, dagger necro’s.
Then maybe you can look on gw2lfg on any given day and see all the other paths where people will take anyone, or start your own group.
Also Dev’s have already stated that optional events are just that: Optional.
What’s your problem with people playing the way they want? Let them do what they want and you do what you want. People are not complaining about non-zerker groups are they?
That is a terrific idea. I fully support it. As a mesmer whose only purpose is a portal and time warp bot, I now have the added usefulness to stealing that buff and spreading it to those 4 zerker warriors. Now we can finish in 5 minutes instead of 7

Why can CoF badges be turned in for high level rares?
Its an absolute goldmine for the path 1 farmers who salvage them for ectos to sell.
People run CoF p1 for the money drops. Token DR hits pretty hard after the first couple of runs. And really, if the entire party swaps to alts to maximize token rewards then I admire their dedication.
I think we can all agree that the rewards are not equal to the required time/effort/difficulty for this particular dungeon path.
I think other paths should be reduced and looking at the way they adjusted the third worst boss in the game Evolved Destroyer (second only to simin and afk dragon) they agree with this mindset.
No one is willing to give up a free ride. Too bad it’s mainly just Warriors that benefit from it (sure, Mesmers to a smaller extent). As for the rest of the professions … <makes a hand gesture> …try to guess what the other professions can go do. Which is pretty much the response they will get when they try to get into one of those farms. They won’t even get to the gear-linking stage before the boot comes down.
How about you do what you want and you let others do what they want?
As said already…go look on gw2lfg, and yes…at this time I do see non farming groups being advertised…Even if bridge event isn’t skippable…it’s not that hard in the first place…

Nope. I am happy this game finally has one activity with substantial farming rewards. Ever farm for charged lodestones? Now that’s something that doesn’t scale well with time and effort spent.
Now I’m going to go run CoF p1 multiple times on both my warrior and mesmer, since the updates on DR mean I get more tokens now. Maybe after gearing up my alts I can even convert leftovers to ectos.

It may be a farm for, what I would guess, would be a relative small percentage of players (80-zerk-warriors + mes < ##% of players), may be a real task for a number of other players. These players have also been rather vocal as of late how difficult it was to complete even 5 dungeon runs in a month. I would imagine they’d say the reward for their time spent in something like COF is far from sufficient. No?
Also, may as well start ranking the rest of the runs. Assuming OP is correct, and changes are made, everyone will move to the next “easy farm”… It’s a never ending cycle common to every MMO out there. COF P1 was not the perceived easy farm a couple of patches ago, rather it was promoted to the perceived #1 once other, more lucrative, tasks were modified.

No, I feel the rewards for CoF p1 are balanced. My expression of satisfaction with the reward level for CoF p1 does not imply I agree with your opinion that the rewards are imbalanced. My personal view is that CoF p1 should be the norm, and other paths should receive a boost that award speed runners (done within the bounds of the game, without glitching, like CoF p1) with even greater returns.
Seems to me like you’re not getting a slice of the pie because you don’t play a warrior or mesmer.
