Yeah, your reflects have been ridiculously lucky from second phase 2 reflect on. To make up for that i need better stats.

If you do it enough you eventually get a lucky run like that. I had like 3 hours straight of one barragefield every 2 minutes.

I had like 3 hours of lupicus in the last 3 weeks.

In his defense, some times you just can’t avoid the bubble without getting lucky. I didn’t read his entire argument, but he seemed pretty set on arguing about the bubble.

Even with the arguement of the bubble you dont need a staff. Blink, mantra of concentration and blurred frenzy. Plenty of ways to survive that blasted bubble!

Well as a mesmer you have sword skill 3 (can’t remember what it’s called atm) which is almost a guarantee that you won’t get domed, and on the off chances that you do (usually when your clones or swordsmen get domed) then you have more than enough survivability/stability as a mesmer as long as you don’t get flustered. Usually when I die in a dome it isn’t because I didn’t have enough to survive, it’s because I just started mashing buttons.

That RNG was pretty casual

If casual means better than in all ~2000 of my runs, yeah.
Talking about phase 3 here, phase 1 was really mediocre rng.

Nice to see a solo with someone who seems to actually get ridiculous amounts of locust spawns. Just annoyed it always happens to me and if i root myself for 100b i lose all my hp in seconds whereas you seem to get a couple of hits and then the locusts go afk. T_T

Make them spawn over the wall.

I managed that on some attempts but not really sure how I did it lol.

The wall is semi reliable for locusts but you still get some. Also I try to keep track of how many locusts there are and how many bites I can take during a 100b before I whirlwind, but generally speaking on a warrior if you get overwhelmed you can just camp axe for an extra few seconds and they die quite quickly.

Yeah I ended up camping axe pretty much the whole time 2 or more locusts were around (which was like 90% of phase 1 thanks to my luck lol). Whenever he summoned some it would be 2 at a time. Also it seems strange but i was taking more damage (atleast it seems that way) than you per bite but I was using dolyak signet for the stunbreak.

wearing full berserkers is an abuse of the mechanics

I think there’s a bit of a difference between standing a little closer to him than max melee range and standing inside of him against a wall. But I wouldn’t go as far to say it’s abusing wall.

For me avoiding domes is the same as avoiding barrages. I hope there wasn’t a way to avoid either of those but don’t see why avoiding one would be any different from avoiding the other. Gaining access to offensive utilities gives higher boost to kill time than using wall so if anything avoiding dome should be more questionable. Not to say I wouldn’t avoid it…

Also, very nice job.

I would say it’s legit if Anet doesn’t fix it within a month.

Avoiding rapidfires is just the same as avoiding bubbles, in my opinion just fully legit.
I just rewatched the video and have to say: great job on skill rotations.

Yeah dont see why people are saying its dishonourable. If thats dishonourable then so is every solo in this thread due to avoiding the bubble. Nice job.

I really need to learn how to control lupi’s movement. Had him go halfway round the room on my necro the other day lmao.

weve cleared it up. surprise: it was just a misunderstanding and poor choice of words. wall obviously is a way to use a boss mechanic. i guess everyone gets that this is legit. all it does is making the run faster ( not for mes and guard ofc) and easier
