Wisp, why don’t you bring a group of 5 eles, all get FGS and sweep the tournament by stacking in a corner. I’m sure Nemis will join you in the “skill-less PvE” tournament that I’m sure you could win without any effort at all. Who needs training? You certainly don’t seem like you need any by what you say. I mean, you cried to support saying that the tournament would be made trivial by stacking, skipping and FGS rush into the corner. Why don’t you show us what you mean?
As for calling out LuPi, meh. It’s Nike’s tournament and he can call people out how he wants.

I did play GvG. I was in Good Artist [ei] and Rebel Rising [rawr]. If you “think on gvg” in gw2, you clearly didn’t play real GvG.

GvG not need think? WvW only spamming? (Yes ofc if you are running with 100pl, but i speak with Guild Raids and GvG). The WvW not about the Guardian Staf Spell 1 and need some team build setup and some different builds however, pve only zerk. I think you never played in good wvw guild or good pvp guild, only just the pve guilds.
Next time the organization party should charge the registrants 50g/person as a deposit to avoid ragequitting and drama. The deposit will be refunded at the end of the tourney.

But what if a team joins and some members have legit RL emergencies or something, then the whole team would be penalized by something out of their control, altho the rule could be flexible enough to counter act that i guess.
I think someone was just mad that a community-made tournament in PvE has better rewards and more hype than anything that has ever been organised for WvW even by Anet

A deposit is a great way to alienate fresh blood and keep them from entering. Not only would they be entering a tournament they’re scared enough of as-is, but they have to front hard-earned gold to people they don’t know just for the chance to compete.
If anything, the tournament should make every move towards being more open, not more restrictive.

This “tournament” is a joke, that’s why the teams just left. DnT organised, this crap to be more famous, because nobody cares about thier and the community records. You dont need skill to stand in the corner and use FGS or switch skills while running in stealth. The “competition”, or anything you call it, will be the random factor. I think the organizers of this tournament and the “speed clear” community, just wants more fame.
Dont blame the teams left, they just lost the fun factor, because there wont be any.
This tournament is just for this “speed clear” crew, boring kitten will flow from the streams!
But this is my opinion, have fun…
FWIW, our guild doesn’t need any more fame; we have been one of the most famous guilds in gaming since WoW. We are doing this to give the community something to do and to come together about. We are donating thousands of our own gold to it, so if this is a get rich and famous plan it’s going horribly.

After this tournament I’m sure we’ll have a better idea of what rules work and what don’t for next time. For now it’s a learning experience for everyone

Actually I’m pretty curious what was reasoning for that “no res” rule. I don’t really think it made the tournament any better. Even without the rule, wiping and dying would be really bad as it would slow the run down considerably. In my opinion the rule made the tournament way too much about tiny errors instead of good execution of creative tactics.
But perhaps the participants can share how they feel about it. Their fun is the most important thing about the tournament.
