It would be absolutely fantastic to have some kind of website or forum dedicated to the guild. An event calendar would be great so we can get a better idea on schedules and what not.

I think having the bearbow in the group during the GM run was fine, as there’s no requirement so the mentor would have to adapt to that (cough Bear pushing Kholer out of the corner cough.)
But Meta runs depend heavily on certain classes doing their job flawlessly, and dealing with a bearbow (and their unintentional mechanics) in a meta run is a situation that should just never happen. So it almost seemed kind of unfair on the MM run as there was no Guardian to be the backbone of the party. But nevertheless it was an interesting experience, despite Detha Trembletroll griefing us at the end.

Hey Dolan, for a MM, it is without saying that he should know how to optimize his group, by either requesting students a certain build, getting a partner to fulfill a support role etc. I’m okay with Colesy turning down my gorgeous bearbow and requesting me to roll something else. But he did not :P

So yea, I’d be down with helping newer players learn how to clear DGs in an organized speedy way

Active dungeons: I clear AC1-3, SE1, CM1/3, CoE1-3, CoF1/2 daily. I can be dragged into Arah but my lupi melee is skillz are just above novice(can hang but wouldnt want to teach folks all but basics)
Availability: 7pm-2am EST is typically when I do my DG trains with a few friends and usually have a spot or two open most of the night that I wouldn’t mind teaching a new player then a random pug player.
Communication: Teamspeak3, mic not required
Message: Um I guess running with our group we would expect you to be in the most DPS gear you can stay alive in while using skills/weapons that benefit the groups efficiency. Seeing movement speed signets on while we are stacked in corners fighting bosses grinds my gears so bad.

I would love to be invited as a student. I’ve been playing gw2 off and on since beta, however I’ve yet to do a dungeon; I’ve primarily been a WvW player.

Could I please get an invite to the mentor guild too (as a student)? Been having a lot of fun learning Arah from Laharl’s teaching runs! I’d like to work on my skills in some other dungeons too.

So far on the tarnished coast server I’ve been able to get us a guild stash too, which I intend on placing some basic dungeon gear for our beginners (once I get more gold, I went nuts and spent it all on 10 lovestruck weapons ATM xD)

I’ll be trying to get guild buffs up and running that pertain to dungeons too.

Can I get an invite, please? Dungeons generally make me nervous so I’ve only done a few paths with friends before they all quit. This sounds like a great way to learn in a fun and friendly way.

I would like to give mad props to Iris for starting this and Laharl for being the best mentor ever. He took me through all four Arah paths, Iris helped with two. Nik with path four despite his initial protestations. :P I learned so much from all of you. Your patience, humor, and grace is amazing. It’s really been a pleasure to be guided by you all. I don’t think I can thank you enough and hope one day.. I can become a mentor too. <3

p.s. I am looking for a meta-mesmer mentor for dungeons. I main a guard and feel I have a pretty good grasp on the ps but still learning on the mesmer. I think I would like to use the mesmer as my main dungeon toon.

I would love to join as a student. I’m usually available to play every night after 6pm PST. I’ve done my research on builds/metas via numerous forums, but I know there’s always something more to learn from more experienced players.

I play Guardian and Mesmer, but still gearing out the Mesmer. I run GS + S/F, Zerk + Scholar Runes, ascended trinkets, and use Obal’s DPS build.

I’d actually also really love to talk to an experienced Mesmer. I seem to read different information every other post I read, so I still have some questions I’d like answered while I’m learning the class.
