Dungeons - gearcheck etc
Kick them til they learn it. That’s what I do, usually i get a full good team for the last boss of the dungeon.

But im very tired now, i need to do it everyday, people dont care about description and later they have problems to me because i want to kick them
Get a guild?
Well, not sure if my guild is interested in playing only with meta builds/gear etc, i used to have friends for doing some speedrun dungeons, but they are not so active now imo :/
Get more guilds.
I don’t remember where this was stated, but I remember Anet not wanting that because it goes against their ideals of people playing together. They didn’t want it to be too easy to encourage public elitism.
If you really care about optimal runs, I’d suggest either forming/joining your own dungeon static group or dungeon guild. Otherwise, with random players, you’ll always have to “interview” new people and waste your own time because of people not reading.
I still think they should add the option to enter a password/captcha to your LFG posts. I’m not sure if the problem is just as prevalent in NA servers as EU, but 99% of the people who join your party won’t have read the LFG before joining your party in EU.
I wish they’d all get permanently banned but obviously that won’t ever happen lmao

It’s the same everywhere. Literacy and/or common courtesy is apparently too much to ask.
@The thread: They should definitely add this feature. I think it would actually save us from most of these elitist jerk complaint threads by making it so people actually get to play with the people they want to group with. With people’s inability or unwillingness to read and respect others wishes, the easiest way is to have an in game option to filter people out of groups before they even join rather than “interviewing” them which only leads to arguments, fighting and threads being created here out of anger.

It is fine to me. I just think having a filter or option to gear check do solve a bunch of problem.
If it is another mmorpg, I just gear check and kick them right away. I’m not sure what Anet trying to solve by hiding people’s gear.
I dont’ think there is anything wrong with kicking people. I understand the part where getting a static group solve the problem. But there shouldn’t be anything wrong with logging and playing any time I want with random people that fit a description.
Which gets to my main point, people shouldn’t have trouble finding groups. So instead of telling people to join a guild, tell those people to read the description and find a group that they fit the description.

How about if they made the edges of the health bar or even better the party icon of the character with the color of your gear, like they edges of the item icons are colored in the color of their rarity in your inventory (when activated)? That way, a fully asc would have his icon’s edges in pink so everyone knows he at least has ascended gear. If he only has a mix of asc gear and exo gear, then part of the edge would be orange to point this out, same for other rarities.
This seems to me an easy tell, but I don’t know how hard it would be to implement. And it wouldn’t fix the problem of PVT-wielding pugs who claim to be zerkers… Maybe if each gear type had an icon which was displayed in a corner of the party icon pic? But then there are players who wear mixed gear, and displaying multiple icons might make the image less clear…
Or maybe if each party member could type out a /command to see the gear of all party members in chat, exactly how commanders can see the supply info of the people next to them?

Hello all, what do u think about adding some gearcheck option for party leader, that he could see every gear piece of his team members? Its verrrry annoying now, because ppl dont care about description and they join your team anyway…sorry for my english
Anet will never do it. Sad but true.
