Explorable dungeon tokens should be tradeable
Well, you don’t need any of the dungeon gear technically… it’s only prestige. By allowing the tokens to be traded you remove some of that prestige because the work the player put in (or didn’t) is more questionable. When you see someone with Orrian armor, you know what they had to do for it. If they did what you suggest, people would just see “Oh, probably got his friends to farm it for him” or “Oh, he probably just bought the tokens” or “Oh, he got all his party members to give him tokens to speed up the process”.

First of all, I don’t see any of what you said is a bad thing. Also, the market price would be fair, and to be able to afford the token, the buyer need to spend similar amount of effort, albeit elsewhere.
This has worked in GW1. All the “prestige” armor sets in GW1 have components that are fully tradeable, and when I see people wearing them I know they have farmed a long time to afford the set.
I would like them to be account bound if anything. A lot of the dungeon tokens are materials for legendary weapons. Those gifts created for the legendary weapons are account bound when you make them. Why not make the tokens account bound instead of soulbound?
If your tailor is your elementalist but you like to play your guardian for dungeons it’s pretty non-nonsensical to farm tokens on your elementalist just so you don’t need to level your tailoring to 400 on another character.
I see pros and cons, but either way it’s a soulbound token that says your account did this farming as opposed to this character. You might get stuck with a bucket of tokens that do your character no good.
I see your point on making them tradeable but I think the economy needs to settle down a bit before throwing more things at people to buy/sell. Just look at butter prices… and remember there’s a 1 copper mark-up per butter stick………….

Then let’s just remove soulbound completely and let Legendaries be tradeable as well while we’re at it. I mean, if they sell them they’d be asking for a price comparable to the work right?
No, I think the very reason why we have non-tradeable currencies and items like karma, tokens and legendaries is because players can buy gold with gems/cash. That wasn’t present in GW1 where you know any money a player had in game was earned through in game means. By disallowing certain things to be bought with gold, they’re keeping the game from being pay to win (Or pay to be epic).

this.
also its a social game like you said, so be social and get a party together and do the dungeon.
i strongly disagree with making them trade able and i highly doubt Anet will make this change.
getting things you didnt earn i think is trash, and it would just make it so that the strongest players farm tokens all day and control the market with those.

As I said in my original post, it’s not about if I want the dungeon tokens, it’s that I want still use the tokens as a reward even I’m not interested in anything I can trade the tokens for.
Also, I’m not calling to abolish all non-tradeable items and currencies. Karma, soulbound and account-bound items all have their use. It’s also not about people selling gems for “pay to epic”. They already can do that by buying crafted exotic gears. Allow me to repeat myself again: it’s about giving fairer rewards to people so they are more motivated to run dungeons.
