Final part of Molten Alliance frac
The part where you’re closed in in that square and the little freak subjects you to attacks so weak they’re not even worth the trouble of evading? It goes on for too long and it’s boring. Think Anet should re-design it.
This fractal is terrible, time gated, and monster in the tunnel’s room in high level just one hit kill everyone and the camera is terrible too. I prefer cliffside 100x better.
Only played it at a max level of 30 so I guess there’s room to hate it further still.
Mainly the issue for me is that for about 5 minutes you barely need to be paying attention.
I doubt they change it. The story of flame and frost is exactly the same as the fractal wich is locked in time ( except dredge being a champion ). They could swap it out for a other part of the f&f dungeon. But they won,t change the dredge test facility one.
Issue with that fractal (at 50):
-totally inconsistent aoes in tunnel (really who love to be knocked down every 2 seconds? stability is not an option since its quite long).
-some mobs are just ridiculous (on top of all earth elemental, immune to CC and oneshotting with almost invisible Attacks… soo fun;but fire elementals are close behind).
-you can have a mesmer stealth at the end of the tunnel go in the other tunnel that communicate with the first one and place a portal (seems designed on purpose) but no…. its useless because if you don t kill mobs you skipped, NPCs won t trigger for no reason at all.
-Molten protector: they are not fun, and nevere were just a dredge like nuisance.
You can CC them before they use their 10 seconds invul aoe, but they don t add anything fun.
-tunnel mobs have onehsotting Attacks again hard to see.
-many gamebreaking bugs already written in proper section.
And seeing what they did to svanirs in svanir fractal i see a pattern.
Oneshots are not fun……if they are more punishing for half professions and easy for Others are even worse.
A PvE player is supposed to avoid a 1-2 second 1 shotting aoe.
A WWW player is considered uncapable of avoiding a 5,75 second aoe for half his health.
