the difficulty level is fine. i think what they need is a window to search for groups looking for players for that specific difficulty level so its easier to find groups and fill groups.
I think the opposite is going to happen. Everyone is able to do level 1. The higher you go, the less players are available. Seen some reached 8 and 9 apparently. How many levels does this thing got? When you get to, I dunno, 30, with lots of agony and stuff, there is going to be 10 people on the server who can go there. Which may be the point. Those 10 people will need to stop being a PUG and bond a little. May be a fun experience.
They really just need to allow players to choose difficulty level from lowest or highest in group. Then whenever you pass 3 it will add +1 difficulty all all INDEPENDENT scores as long as it remains high than your personal score.
For example:
Player 1-4: Difficulty level up to 5
Player 5: Difficulty level 1
The players may choose 1 or 5. Lets say they choose 5. The difficulty will be set there and allow lesser tiered players to join. If that team goes through 3 fractals and goes up a level (New difficulty is now 6) Player 5 will be set to 2 as his/her personal score. Players 1-4 will be set to 6 as their personal score It really seems logical seeing as how he/she is already fighting at a higher level.
If the player with the highest difficulty is too deep with agony you can choose a lesser difficulty.
Or even better – choose based on all independent party members. Basically the same thing I just listed but:
Player 1-3: Difficulty 5
Player 4: Difficulty 2
Player 5: Difficulty 1
You would be able to choose 1/2/5 as your starting point
