Where are the promised fractal boxes?

It was THE selling point for me to try out fractals… Is there any official statement to this?

They said, a week or so after fractured release, that they said “fractal weapon boxes as rewards for higher levels”. They then clarified it to mean, higher levels than currently available.

I find their wording to be VERY misleading… I am just dissapointed.

I know. We all did. It was a thing.

Then the forum was archived and they think we have forgotten.

I have never received a fractal weapon. The best thing I got was a knight’s ascended chest, but even that is useless to me.

It was a lie, they are in fractals 51+ which we don’t have access too.

Also, where is the kitten leader board? wasn’t that the bloody reason we were all reset anyway?

Played 450ish fractals.

Received 2 x ascended weapon boxes.
2 x Fractal weappn skins.

My personal reward level is 30.

Ascended weapon drops/fractal skins can be obtained from levels 20 and above.

I will add though I usually get emphy shards, and every time I do I feel let down with this reward. Pristine relic+ 29 emphy shards+1 gold is pretty sub par when your playing level 30.

I received a Fractal Harpoon skin last week and a Fractal Warhorn skin this week. I don’t know if Magic Find affects the rate of getting these things, but I do keep a Birthday Booster active on the character I run FotM with.

The point is that it’s not a box. The box was promised to let you choose the skin. But we have no box

Fractal skins can be obtained from level 10 and above.. just so you know.

That’s why I don’t go further than level 30 because the time/reward and risk/reward is just not right at the moment.

The fractal weapon box is a lie…

I see what the specific of what you’re talking about now. My bad. Thought I was clarifying information.

Anet never lied to us, Weapon Boxes ARE in the game, just at lv 51+. Data mining has already taken place with other instabilities that are in the system, they could just implement 10 more and get us through the next set of reward chests.

I can’t wait to run a 51+ and get 1.5g and a sprinkle of salvaged gear.

To those saying that fractal weapon boxes are in 51+ are potentially incorrect. As Lilith pointed out, a dev told us that they were not available at the current level of fractal levels. They could release 20 more levels (so we can get to 70) and still not be in the game because they were destined to be in 71+, or only as a possibility of being a reward at fractal level 80, once (or if ever) they release that high.

We should never have been told about them in the first place if they were not intended to be included at least for a level 50 to begin with. I do not trust them to institute these weapon boxes at level 51. And either way, it will be a chance at a weapon box or a skin, which means after the roll to see if you get a weapon, you then have to roll to see whether you get the weapon box or a select weapon. RNG at its finest, so do not hold your breath for these things.

Edit: I am apparently still very bitter about this, lulz.

They were a lie, when fractured was first released the release page had a line stating that fractal weapon boxes were a new feature. What is the point of advertising this if the feature is not available? If they never intended us to have a chance at fractal weapon boxes from 1-50 then it shouldn’t have been mentioned in this update. They did not say future updates will allow fractal weapon boxes to drop. They just said fractal weapon boxes will drop in higher level fractals. This means at the very least it should drop at level 50 because that is the highest possible fractal after the update, or they shouldn’t have mislead their customers and never advertised an unattainable feature.

You can sum it up as a clerical error if you want but it’s still a mistake. Maybe if they weren’t trying to gorge their player base with low grade free content every two weeks less mistakes would happen.

Basically the API was checked and we finally got a response and then the page was edited to no longer mention fractal weapon boxes. Which was the wrong way to handle it.
