seriously, you get poorer doing a fractal now. What is this desing? all the CDI all the reasoning all the sugestion ALL is vain. WHY BOXES? WHY KEYS? why more RNG on top of RNG? why reward junk? whats happening WHY?

I look at that stuff and realize I just don’t want to do fractals now.

On top of that they looked at their metrics and figured that since everyone was doing level 39, it clearly meant we loved having mobs explode on death so they gave us 10 whole levels of it.

And on 71+ you lose all boons when you dodge… is this supposed to be fun? Dealing abysmal amounts of damage never has been for me, dunno bout you guys.

Yeah, this coupled with the fact that they pretty much are destroying dungeons and made fractals a gold sink for us as well leave me with a really really bitter taste in my mouth.

I personally have no issues with the instabilities I found them amusing lols bouncing charrs on the ascalonian one and cliffside were amazingly fun. But yeah the rewards Anet, the AR, why so many walls and disadvantages to doing fractals? I wanna do more but can’t because of the AR.

Fractals are a mess and dungeon rewards have been nerfed. I was originally excited for raids but now….. I feel like I’m hoping against all odds. Just take a look at anets long history…

My best guess is they are trying to flush a lot of gold out of the economy, but I really think if that is so this is the wrong way to do it. Maybe they’re trying to account for all the new ways to make gold? Just have to see I guess, right now everything that seems to have been good for making money has been nerfed into oblivion. Which would be so bad but….RNG….

Nice to know others have the same thoughts. I guess we just save up the chests till we have maxed the fractal mastery line then open?

Also interesting to see that anet took the middle ground for the length of a fractal run. What I mean is: an old run was 4 fractals and now to do your fractal daily you need to do 6 fractal islands. (( 2x 3 of a tier lvl ))

I feel terrible for those who are just getting into fractals. There is no WAY they can make ascended armor and get the materials they need to continuously do fractals with the crappy rewards system they introduced. You get more broke as you go forward so what happened to all the “better rewards” we were promised instead of this rng junk?

I second the feeling that I can’t get gold from anywhere anymore. I thought they said they were supposed to be increasing rewards from fractals after the nerfs to dungeons. Now I have zero reason to do either.

Let’s face it – ANET doesn’t actually listen to the dungeon runners who have taken a long time to get good. They have been listening to the casuals complaining about the zerker meta (aka glass cannon) – I have seen so many ideas they have implemented from LeoG (I still hate those posts).

This is just really a sad state of affairs and honestly a disgrace.

Would be interesting to see a survey of ‘satisfaction’ of HOT after a month.
Or should we call that ‘unhappy’ customers

I just sold mine for 45 silver and it was 80s somewhat about 2 hours ago haha apparently there’s something inside that many people want.

See, we’re dealing with RNG here, something that can give you lots of return if you’re lucky (who knows if the 5g book I pulled is the most worthwhile thing in there) and apparently you can get ascended recipes from those, so you can probably get other stuff too. That’s enough to make people roll on those things like mad, because gambling always makes people spend money in games. lol

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but dungeon tours are still decent for leveling up your core masteries.
That being said, I agree that a fractal scale should give a chunk of EXP on the first clear of a day, depending on what scale you ran and which fractal it is.

That’s not fractured 2.0. That’s Fractured 9000 Remix Hyper Edition EX Plus Alpha Prime. Radio tower climbing in Witcher 3 would make more sense than this new fractal progression system.

Indeed they should fix there rewards, well choose is simple o ly play elite style do y waist time on learning people, go for the market control and in crease prices on everything…
Just do everything they don’t want you to do than they might finally get it after so many years of gw1 gw2 players want reward for time invested

Who remembers there commont on first change of dungeon reward o we want you to have reward on doing dungeons they introduced daily chest you got reward in XP…you gained some gold which was fair reward for time invested

Now you get sh*tt and your supposed to be happy with it

Fix your rewards instead of f*** around with your established base of daily gamers

So the new Fractals brings NOTHING new to any experienced fractal runner except endless grind and some new rewards only if they buy HoT.Furthermore they take away rewards from those who didn’t buy it.
Different builds?New approach to gameplay?New fractals?No,not at all.The good old meta party can clear any lvl.
Just grind.Grind to get 1 gazillion AR to all of your characters,grind to get a chance for a proper loot, grind for the achievements, grind grind grind…
I have said a lot of times that i’m going to quit the game.But this time Anet itself shows me the door.I am deeply dissapointed.

I had the same thought until I had the idea to stop hitting “deposit all collectibles.” Sell it all to the people who still have gold.
